Life began in a Garden by Sylvie

Hello

Sylvie from France has created the most wonderful bag with matching card. The bag is trimmed in lace, embellished with paper, butterflies, pearls, flowers & more ....  How simply gorgeous.
The ideas could also be used on a box, hat box & more ....

'I used wonderful papers from the forget me not collection, grey blue flower and daisy silver diamante trim

It is a gift paper bag with its matching card

This paper bag from a clothing store was partly covered with gesso in order to erase the symbols and i used several colors of distress ink, stickles, and tulip pearl on all edges

I wanted to keep the enchanted garden decor that inspire me these papers and i hope you will love

hugs'

An extremely elegant bag & card Sylvie - beautifully done.  I love the embellishing on the card & bag - what a treat to receive a gift in a bag like this.  Also love the way you have staged your project with the moss & petals - gorgeous.

Bye for now

Eila is in Winter - brrrr!!

Hi
Eila could not stay away - she has sent us this gorgeous winter LO

'I've started to think about Christmas but not quite yet gotten to actually scrapping Christmas pages. I did some fussy cutting from the new Christmas collection, absolutely delish maroon and chocolate hues that I thought would ease me into the Holiday mood nice and gently.

I'm attaching it with this mail a smooth blending over to the Christmas projects the girls no doubt have sent and will send you shortly. If not, please let me know and I'll post in my blog anyway with a blurb about the papers.

The lady in the photo is nana Britt, i.e. my mother-in-law. She's going on 87 and is fit as a fiddle. She loves when I scrap her old family photos and gets this special twinkle in her eye and smile when I tell her that I will scrap her. This photo was taken last Christmas.

The background is made on watercolour paper with masking/modelling paste and mists in Sand, Old Lace and Creme de Cocoa. I then painted some of the dots with Glimmer Glam in Chandelier to get a glittery and frosty effect.

I have used both the small 10 cm and the medium 15 cm circle doilies from the shop, as well as a gold German scrap flourish that seems to be sold out.
I absolutely adore the luscious velvet blooms in the shop, here I have tucked in cream primroses and purple violets in the clusters.

The silver diamantés were cut off from a ribbon - don't know what it's called in the shop.

The base for my page is fussy cut luscious chocolate brown and maroon leaves and flowers from the P6326 Christmas Music sheet and strip. The music sheet layered between the doilies was cut from the same paper.

Finally I embossed a fuzzy snowy effect in ivory and called it quits.

Wishing you a really wonderful weekend when it comes!
Hugs and kisses,
Eila'

Gorgeous layout Eila - well done. Love all the embellishing - the diamante trim makes a fabulous addition to a flower.

Vintage Christmas Book

Hi

Adriana is getting ready for Christmas giving
She show us her vintage book that would make a perfect gift.  You could also use actual pics instead of the collae images Adriana has used.

'Vintage Christmas Book

Hi everyone, Adriana here today at Meg’s Garden to show you all a Vintage Christmas mini book, showcasing the wonderful “Musical Christmas” papers  designed by Denise.

The Cover and book
I used the accordion book which Meg’s garden sells and glue the pages all together to create 6 page book plus cover and back cover.

I then hinged the book together with Tim Holtz Diecut and brads, only after I adhered the papers to the covers.

On the cover I used a chipboard frame and adhered glue and glass glitter a bird charm, vintage image , velvet flowers and Jewel Pin, all these are available from Meg’s garden website.

Inside book
Each page is decorated with the different Musical Christmas papers, each page I have attached German scrap white border, cut out Vintage images and created Snowflakes with the papers and glitter.

The poem I found from an old Christmas poem book.

I hope you enjoy my book and hope it inspires you to create a little magic for yourself or for a gift for someone.

Cheers Adriana'

Showcasing an Embellished Banner with Heather

Hello

Heather explains her fabulous Layout:

LAYOUT  - ‘ LOVE YOU ‘

'Wow I just adore these papers from the Christmas collection.

Such rich, velvety colors and PERFECT for showcasing Banners . I was so excited as this banner came together .. I decided to create 2 layers and hang some Tim Holtz metal elements to create extra interest and texture .

These colours and designs mix and match perfectly and as you can see I have created my banner by using small sections from almost every piece of the collection.  What a great way to use your scraps ..

Handy tip

Looking closely you may notice I have slightly distressed the papers on the banner ( this is achieved by sanding lightly with a emery board )
