Two Cards ~ English Garden Collection~

Hello friends of Meg's Garden! Today I am sharing two cards that I have made using papers from the English Rose Garden Collection from Meg's Garden. I was really drawn to the ephemera in this collection and used it in the card above.

I used some roses from stash that complimented the rose in the ephemera. I also used some chipboard from my stash as well, which I kept raw as it worked well with the papers.

To create the vintage look, I used my distressing tool and I also tore some of the papers gently in areas. I also applied Walnut Stain Distress ink to all of my edges as well.

My second card has quite a few die cuts. I used Spellbinders A2 devine eleoquence set and stamped my sentiment onto it. I also used some lace from my stash.

I really liked this sentiment and the elegance of the frame. I applied foam tape to them to add extra dimension.

Card and Gift Box Set

Hello friends of Meg's Garden! Today I am sharing a card and gift box set with that I have created using papers from the stunning Butterfly Collection. When I saw this collection, my heart skipped a few beats as I simply love butterflies! I also love the rustic feel of this collection and of course the butterflies and the ephemera that is available.

For the design of my card, I picked up a blue/green hue from the paper and used it as my embellishment colour. I also used some Spellbinder's dies to create some borders to add an elegant touch to my card.

The box was decorated in a similar way to the card. I used a 4 x 12" strip to decorate the entire box. I also used similar flowers as well as fussy cut a butterfly to add dimension. I used some left over cardstock and Spellbinders Venetian Motifs die to create the corner piece on the four edges of the base of the box.

Life Mini Album ~ Plus a Video ~

Hello friends and fellow bloggers! It's Cathy here today and I would like to share with you a mini album that I have created using The French Garden Kit from Meg's Garden. For this album, I have used the papers that have green tones. I have also used a tutorial by Kathy Orta to create this album.

To embellish my front cover, I used a chipboard piece. I inked it up with gesso. Once dry I used Prima Garden Grass ink and Diamond stickles to alter it. For the frame, I applied some 3D paint and once dry applied several layers of gesso. Once dry, I dry brushed Prima Dark Bark ink around the edges to give it an aged effect.

This album has some interaction but it also the option to not cover up the beautiful papers. It has two different sized photo mats which can be interchanged throughout the album.

Cut apart/embellishment sheets are also available. It assist with personalising projects.

French Garden Mini Album

Hi everyone, Miriam here with my latest mini album.I just love the colours pink and green to work with and when I opened my box of goodies from Meg's Garden I couldn't wait to get started. The album is 6x6 with a 2 1/4" spine. I covered the chipboard with white card stock then added the French Garden pink paper and fussy cut some flowers and foam mounted them on top. I embossed the chipboard frame, placed one of the lovely ladies inside it and added a stick pin and ribbon. The spine and the back are plain. The album has lots of pockets and tags and the flip pages can be used for journal spots as well. I inked the edges with Victorian Velvet and did a little masking on the front and also cut around some of the images and slipped tags behind them
