Parisian Gardens Card and Card Envelope Box

Hello friends of Meg's Garden. I am thrilled to have returned to the Meg's Garden Design Team. It's great to back creating with such beautiful papers and products. Today I have two projects to share which use papers from the Parisian Gardens Collection.

For my card, I have used two sheets of the patterned papers and used one of the vintage images from the ephemera sheets as my focal image. I used lots of foam tape between my layers to add dimension.

The 'love' sentiment also came from the ephemera sheets. I fussy cut some tags from the ephemera sheets to frame the focal image. The edges of my base papers were distressed and all of the papers were inked with vintage photo distress ink. I used a variety of paper flowers to frame my image, varying the size to add interest and depth. The butterflies, doilies and chip board elements came from my stash.

I used up some of my left over paper to embellish this card envelope box so that it would coordinate with my card. Again, I used pieces from the ephemera to frame and create layers. This box accommodates my embellished 6 inch card perfectly.

The sentiment was a stamp and die set from my stash by JustRite. The doily is from Prima. The paper flowers are all available from Meg's Garden.

Manilla Folder Mini Album ~ plus a tutorial ~

Hello everyone! It's Cathy here on the blog today and I hope that you are well. Recently I have been interested in finding projects to create that are time effective. At work, I often hear that you need to 'work smart not hard' in terms of time management. We are all time poor, yet we always have to 'do more.' I found some mini albums on the internet that looked interesting and I am so excited to be able to share this one with you. This album is constructed with a manilla folder and I made and decorated the entire album in one evening!

This is the inside of the album. I modified the manilla folder to accommodate the mini papers from the French Garden Collection. As you can see, there are pockets filled with ephemera and cut aparts from the collection. There is also room to fit in photos and other personal items that you may wish to add.

I also decorated the back of the album. You could leave it plain or it provides another place to add photos.

This really is an easy album to construct. I have a video tutorial for you so that you too, can create your own. With just one manilla folder you can create a mini album in a relatively short amount of time. Once you see how easy it is, I'm sure you'll start making your own and adapting the dimensions to suit your purpose.

PRINTERS TRAY by MIRIAM HAGGER

Hello everyone.

I found this printers tray in my stash and I thought it would be perfect  for Meg's English Rose Garden Collection in the new Papercraft Pack.

I stained the outer with Vintage Photo distress stain with some lace from Meg's Garden and a few bits and pieces from my stash, do hope you like it.

Forgotten Meadows Collection Cards

Hello everyone, Miriam here with two lovely cards I have made with the Forgotten Meadows Collection from Meg's Garden. For the first one I used the background papers with three layers, distressed the edges and embellished  with lace and flowers. The second one is much the same but I used a Lace die to add some interest to the edge. Do hope you like them.

   

•     Added a stick pin with some seam binding which I swiped with Victorian Velvet distress stain and added some vine leaves.

1. Layered in some muslin cloth.

Used a Martha Stewart heart punch on the inside.

       The lace die here is by Couture Creations.

     Stamped the front of the card with a Darkroom Door texture stamp and embossed with Aged Aqua

embossing powder.
