Spring by Meredith Hilly

Hello everyone.

When creating your latest scrap project there will always be left over pieces of pages when its time to clean up. I find it very hard to throw these in the bin so I put them all in a tray knowing they will be handy for a future pages.

Well with such a wet winter the spring here was amazing for my flowers in the garden.

I knew I had paper from Megs garden that would complement pages with them.

So here is a mix up of a few of Megs papers.

The amount of bling I put on this page made it very difficult to get a nice photo. I used Kindy Glitz and Liquid Pearls to high light this lovely lady.

Tearing the edges of the matting around the photos gives another depth to the page.

When using left over paper to make a book it doesn't have to be the same size as the page before.

Adding fold out pages gets the best out of double sided pictures.

Cutting out and gluing part of a see through image , for example the butterfly , makes the image seen on following pages.

I am lucky enough to have a magnificent wisteria like the beautiful papers at Megs garden. They look great together.

On the back page I used a Slide Mailer from Megs Garden. This made a lovely ending for the book.

Love You Card with Rose Quartz......

Today I want to show you a love card with a wooden heart on top of it....For this 
card I used Meg's Garden Rose Quartz paper collection, Bazzill white cardstock, 
Golden Tulle, Pink Ribbon, Vintage Brad and some flowers and leaves.

The base of this card is 14.5 x 14.5 cm after that I used two layers of design paper

14 x 14 cm and 11.5 x 11.5 cm, the second design paper layer I raised with cardboard / chipboard.....and distressed it with Tim Holtz distress ink - Tattered Rose...
On top of the last layer I put a wooden heart that I decorated first. 

I used for the pink flower pink ribbon en made this flower my own....for the heart of this 

flower I used a vintage brad....

Love You & Adore with Rose Quartz

Good morning, I'm so happy you decided to visit Meg's Garden blog today.

Today I would like to show a project that is totally in my comfort zone, Clean and Simple.

For this layout I used the gorgeous Rose Quartz collection....collectors edition by Meg Garden. 

The photo in this layout is made by my youngest daughter "Chimène", she love's taking pictures of

here self and I was so pleased that I could work with it.

For this layout I used the size 8.5"x 11", beside the beautiful Rose Quartz paper collection I used 

a pretty awesome Sizzix punch - it's a hart and this punch fits perfectly with this collection.

Gorgeous elements you can find in the Rose Quartz collection, brads, frames, butterfly's 

and amazing journaling cards. And almost all in same pink colors, some a bit darker 

and some a bit lighter.

Cards with Chantilly Cream and Rose Quartz by Margaret Mifsud

Hello lovely visitors and welcome to the Megs Garden blog.  So nice of you to drop by and I hope you are all having a wonderful day.

I'd like to share two cards with you today.  One was made with the lovely Chantilly Cream papers and the other with the gorgeous Rose Quartz papers, both of which are, of course, exclusive to 

Megs Garden.

Card # 1 - Chantilly Cream.

Unfortunately, our weather has been quite dull lately (lots of rain) and because the light was quite bad, the colour didn't photograph too well.  It is a lot creamier than it looks here but I couldn't leave it for another day because this had to be posted Interstate.
This card measures 4" x  5.5".

The doily and the lace are both available at Megs Garden.  I will leave a list of Megs products (and links) at the end of this post.

This is the lace I used.

As I wanted to  tuck it in under the paper layers, I didn't need the full width so I trimmed off the top section and used that at the bottom of the card and then the remainder was inserted at the top.

This way you don't waste lace that you don't see.  Much more economical.

The leaves were cut from cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo and I also sprinkled a few seed beads here and there. 

The frame was made with air dry clay and a small mould.  The lovely rose graphic glued to the center came from the Rose Quartz cut and create pages.

The flowers are from Prima .. had them in my stash for ages.  The ribbon is from Megs Garden.
I did wipe a little white acrylic paint around the card when it was done.

The inside has two pockets cut from the Chantilly Cream papers and edged with Martha Stewart's Floral Vine Deep Edge Punch.  One pocket is for a gift voucher and the other will have a personal message written on a journal card or tag.

That was the Chantilly Cream card and now for

Card # 2 - Rose Quartz

This one is quite tall .. it measures 3.5" x 7".  Don't think I have ever made one that size before, but I quite like it so I'm sure I will do it again.

I have used the same lace as on my first card.

I love these blooms.  They are available from Megs Garden and have not been altered in any way.  Once again, the leaves were cut from cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo.
 

This lace is just so gorgeous .. I love it!!  I didn't cut it apart this time though.

The tiny frame was made with hot glue and a Mod Podge mould.  First time I have used the hot glue .. works a treat, once you get the hang of it. 

Two pockets again on the inside cut from the Rose Quartz papers.  I don't always need a pocket for a voucher but it's handy to have one, just in case.

Grocery List/Coupon Wallet with the Rose Quartz Paper Collection

Hi Meg's Garden Fans! Sarah here with a pretty little project that you can tuck in your purse on grocery shopping day - a little wallet to hold a grocery list and coupons!

Rose Quartz Jar by Katrina Thompson

Hello everyone. It's great to coordinate your cards with a decorated jar, tin or box.

It is also a great gift to give. Today I have decorated a jar using the Rose Quartz collection

to coordinate with the cards I have made previously. Katrina x

I've selected a range of images from the Rose Quartz papercrafter pack together with

some muslin, paper flower petals and some ribbons/lace.

Wash and dry your bottles well. This one had an existing label which was easily covered by the muslin and papers. I glued the scalloped lace then tied the different trims around the neck.

Wrap a piece of green organza through the middle of the muslin. Secure both ends beneath

your centre papers so you don't have to run a line of glue or tape around the jar.

Create a flower by layering petals of coordinating colours. Glue it over the knot.

Back your word and feature image with a light weight cardstock so it is easier to

wrap and attach to the jar.

Attach the butterfly through the body so the wings can flutter free.

A great jar for mini marshmallows I think!!
