Vintage Journal Cards - Floral

 Hello Bloggers

Two cards using the Vintage Journal Cards - great ideas from
Guest Designer Rose Parker.
Both are very elegant,  quite unique & use the 2 VJC's with  pink roses

The first one has a window box decorated with 4 pink puffy roses &
a gathered pink lace.
The Vintage card sits in the window box & comes out using
its pink ribbon flap

Underneath you can see the details of the die cuts used

The second one will also give you some great ideas too:

More die cuts with a pink one to accent the little book.
The book has a magnet close & an oval stitched die
cut which frames the vintage journal card.

The little book is embellished with some silk flowers.  Have a look at the tiny pale pink rosebud wrapped in the same pink satin edged organza ribbon
as the pull on the vintage journal card - gorgeous touch.
The vintage journal card is backed with a distressed-edged pink cardstock

Lots of different shapes have been used in the die cuts - great texture interest

I am sure that you are able to use many of the techniques & ideas used here.
Thank you so much Rose

Bye for now

A Parisian Gardens Card by Margaret Mifsud

Hello everyone and welcome.  So pleased you came by for a visit.

I have a card to share today which was made with the gorgeous  Parisian Gardens Collection from Megs Garden.  These papers are absolutely stunning.  They are available in different sizes and you can purchase them as a printed pack or as a digital download.  As well as the beautiful papers the Collection also includes lots of ephemera which beautifully compliments these lovely papers.

The small fabric buds are from my stash but all the paper blooms below are available at Megs Garden.

Some pretty lace and a piece of gauze as the base for the flower cluster ..

.. and, of course, I had to add some prills.

The chippie is from 2Crafty Chipboard and the leaves are a Cheery Lyn die.

The inside .. don't you just love these papers .. so pretty.

The papers I've used here are from the A4 digital pack.  I love the fact that I can print them out as I need them and, as I don't scrapbook, the A4 size is ideal for the cards or mini albums I make.  I simply print them out and cut them to size.  Depending on the size card I am making, I usually manage to get 2 or 3 cards out of one sheet which I think is really economical.

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look, we all really appreciate your visit and I hope I have inspired you to acquire some of Megs Gardens gorgeous products for yourself.
Why not take a further stroll through the Garden and check out what the rest of the Team have created.  You will find lots of inspiration here.

Have a wonderful, scrappy day!!
Take care and God Bless.

Spring Pastels Take #2 by Margaret Mifsud

Hello sweet visitors and welcome to Megs Garden.  So pleased you dropped by for a visit.

I am back today to share a card made with more lovely goodies from Megs Garden.

The papers are from the Spring Pastels Collection.  You can buy them already printed but  the ones I've used here I printed out myself from the digital version.

Edged the top layer of paper with Martha Stewart's Floral Vine Deep Edge Punch and added the chippie pieces for extra interest.

The yellow bloom below is the Puffy Paper Flower which is available from the Garden (I will list all of Megs products at the end of this post).   It was white originally and I simply sprayed it with some Liquitex ink.

The large white bloom is the Azalea .. available from Megs Garden of course .. and so is the large Mini Rose Bud.  The Azalea was left as is but I did re-colour the rosebud.

The other flowers in this cluster are from my stash.

Sprinkled the flowers and card with a mix of clear and pale pink micro beads and added some glitter to the chipboard pieces.

The papers used on the inside were also edged with the same punch as before.  Aren't those papers pretty???

A little gauze under the cluster just to soften the look and my card was done!!

Spring Pastels Take #1 by Margaret Mifsud

Hello everyone and welcome to Megs Garden .. so pleased you dropped by.

I am here to share a card made with some of Meg's lovely goodies.

The papers are from the Spring Pastels Collection.  You can buy these in multiple sizes as a pre-printed version but they are also available as a digital download.    I love the digital version because I can print them out as I need them so I never run out and I don't need a place to store them ..
perfect!!

The top paper layer was edged with the Martha Stewart Floral Vine Deep Edge Punch  (my fave at the moment) .

The chippie is from 2Crafty Chipboard and is a piece left over from another project.  I simply coloured it with a VersaMagic stamp pad and sprinkled it with clear glitter.

The roses are the Puffy Paper Flowers. They come in a creamy white and are so easy to colour to suit any project.  I usually spray them with a little water and then spray again with either inks or watered down paints in whatever colour I need.    I really love these flowers and use them on most of my cards.

The large bloom is the Silk & Organza Primula - black and grey.

Added some die cut leaves, a twine bow and a few mini rose buds to the cluster.

More of the Spring Pastels Collection on the inside and, for some reason, I felt compelled to add some washi tape to the side.   Just as well I liked it. LOL!!

Megs Garden has some stunning paper collections and most of them are available in a printed version or as a digital download, or both.
