'A TWINKLING CHRISTMAS' - A CARD WITHIN A CARD , BIRTHAY CARD and XMAS GIFT BOX

Good morning everyone,

Liz here with you, once again showcasing Megs beautiful range of  'A Twinkling Christmas' and how versatile it is with other Collections.

A CARD WITHIN A CARD

Now for a closer look.  I love making with card, as it is a little surprise packet, especially using  this new Collection 'A Twinkling Christmas'.

This beautiful collection has such stunning images and suit this type of card quite well.  Meg's Christmas bell is unique and so delicate. Along with the ribbons and trim.  The little star I had in my stash which I heat embossed with some gold and glitter and perfect for keeping the card closed.

Now open, the card has a little surprise.

A bit of fussy cutting of the little cherub, stocking , bauble and ribbons to make it bounce of the card.

                                                             BUTTERFLY KISSES

I created this Birthday card for our little granddaughter and used 'Spring Pastels', along with A Twinkling Christmas Ballerina.

                                                         CHRISTMAS BASKET

This little basket would be lovely as a 'Teacher' gift or for that special person, filled with some goodies for Christmas.

For the inside of the box, I used 'White Flowers on Green' , and 'Parisian Gardens' Collections.  Here is a close up look of the outside panels which were completed using 'A Twinkling Christmas' Collection.

Well I trust that you have enjoyed our little journey today and that you agree with me, that this range of 'A Twinkling Christmas' is simply stunning and versatile with your other Meg's Garden Collections.

Thanks for taking the time to look and be sure to check out more of this Collection HERE.  Until next time.......happy creating......Liz.

LAVANDE COLLECTION - REMEMBER THIS MOMENT

Good afternoon Bloggers,

Today I am lucky enough to be showcasing Meg's Garden new collection of  'Lavande'.   You will notice that this collection is so so soft and pretty.

With that in mind, I just had to create a very special layout, that is dear to my heart.  It is of my Mum's family.  My Mum is the baby in the photo, which is thus dated 1913.

Meg's Garden Ribbons and flowers team perfectly well with these papers.  I have used some very fine ribbon around my chipboard piece.

Flowers and leaves  to accent the flower in the patterned paper and under my title.

I hope you have enjoyed  my little journey today and you will find more of this delish Collection HERE .

Until next time..........happy creating.......regards   Liz

SPRING PASTELS CARD BOX

Hello Blogger,

Today I would like to share with you Meg's Garden new collection 'Spring Pastels'.  It is a wonderful range with so many soft pastels all matching, teamed with the Create and Cut pages.

SPRING PASTELS CARD BOX

I was so taken with this range, I decided to make a little card box to give as a present.  These are so easy to make and with the right papers and embellishments makes an idea gift.

I had so much fun placing the embellishments around the box.

As you can see the front has an acetate window to showcase a special card.
I have incorporated a card to show how all things match perfectly.

Well thank you for taking the time to look and be sure to keep a look out next month for more matching cards.  Have a great month creating and until next time.....happy scrapping.....love Liz

VINTAGE JOURNAL PAPERS PAPERCRAFTER AND ROSE QUARTZ

Good afternoon Bloggers, Liz here today.

I hope you have been enjoying the new collection from Meg's Garden, 'Vintage Journal' and today I am sharing with you my Journal.  You will see that it is still a 'work in progress', but could not wait to share ideas with you all.

VINTAGE JOURNAL

My journal was so easy to put together, just add some little embellishments and die cuts and off you go.

I made this little keyhole with some shrink wrap I was playing around with and so suited the papers.

And a little heat embossing on my die cut suited the men in the picture.

Another page ready to go.

I will be cutting some cardstock to insert in between these pages so I can add the photos.  Once it is
complete I will add the hinges and brads and it will be complete.

ROSE QUARTZ SYMPATHY CARDS

I recently created a tin of cards for a 70th birthday and to include in the 'stash' I used some Rose Quartz papers to create 3 cards.

This is such a beautiful collection and can be used in many ways to create an array of beautiful cards.
I hope you have enjoyed todays journey and be sure to check out more of Meg's Garden Collection
Thanks for taking the time to look and until next time happy creating.   Liz

NEW WATERCOLOUR IN BLUES - 3 DISTINCT CARDS by Liz Hocking

Hello Bloggers,
Thanks for joining me today to see Meg's Garden new collection 'Watercolour in Blues'.  This is such a beautiful soft collection, as always and fantastic for making cards, as well as pretty layouts.
For you today, I have chosen to make 3 cards, using the Collection .
I loved using this Collection 'Watercolour in Blues' as the blue is so soft and works well on dark card.
Here is a close up of my first card, which has a 'secret' pop up sentiment card.
For my edging Versa ink 'Atlantic Blue' is a perfect match.
My next card I did a little embossing in silver, which I feel suited the theme I was trying to create.
Meg's Garden doiley, pearls, lace ribbon, and metal emb.
Finally, for my last card, I was given quite a few A4 envelopes, so decided to make some cards to fit. This is the front
and then open.
Well I hope that have enjoyed viewing the new collection and to see more you can follow this link.

Thanks for taking the time to view and until next time.....happy scrapping from Liz

Rose Quartz Mini Book by Meredith Hilly

Hello everyone. I have made a mini book using 12x12 pages using the beautiful papers from Megs garden.

I cut out the smaller pictures which I then made into tags to slide into the pockets. I tied gold, brown and green ribbon on different ones.

I used the beautiful light rose lace to frame pictures.

Gold leaves and gold edging was glued into the book to make it pretty like the old photos of the ladies in the book.

The tiny roses from Megs garden are terrific small detail element to any picture.

I like the metal flower with the green flower beside it as they are both not what you would call a traditional colour of flowers.

Using double sided 12x12 paper this is how the mini book is made.

Fold the paper  in half.

Then fold it in half the other way.

As the below picture shows cut a 5mm strip out of the page.

Fold the page up then back on itself to form a pocket.

Stick it down. one side has a pocket and the other is a page.

Turn over and do the same again.

Now you will have another pocket and a page the other side.

Using this technique you can make as many pages as you like and thread a piece of ribbon and lace to bind it into a book. This book can be made into a lot of different page set ups. So experiment a little.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my latest project. Thanks Megs for such pretty papers and embellishments. Keep up the great work.
