Cards With Different Folds

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing two cards that I have made using papers from the Sherlock III collection, Lavande and the Vintage Flower Journal Cards. Just for a change, I have created cards with different folds, and embellished them in a vintage/shabby chic style.

For my first card, I decided that I would make and accordian fold card.

It is secured with a band, that can can open and close. The two ends slightly overlap and are secured with velcro dots.

The base of my card is kraft cardstock. I used both Sherlock III and Lavande papers to decorate the panels of the card.

The centre image is a Vintage Floral Journal Card.

After securing it to the card, I scored it so that it could lift up. You can stamp/write your message here.

My second card is a square lace tri-fold card. The base is kraft cardstock and I have used the Sherlock III papers.

Again, it is secured into place using a band and velcro dots. This is the inside view of the card.

The back view of the card.

For both cards, I used Lori Whitlock cut files which I then used on Silhouette Cameo machine.

Audrey Doll Tag

Hello everyone! Today I have a tag to share with you. I bought a few of the Julie Nutting doll stamps a while ago, and I haven't used them for ages. As I had some left over papers from some projects, I thought it would be a great way to use both!

Firstly, I stamped the image twice and die cut them out using the coordinating dies. I stamped the dress onto left over Lavande paper and the face and legs section onto text paper. To colour the face and arms I used copic markers E000, E000, E11 and R20. To colour her hair I used E50, E55, E57 and E59.

To accent areas of her dress, I used copic markers BV000, BV11 and V17. I did some random stamping of butterflies and script over her dress to add some texture. I coloured her waist band in using some clear wink of stella. These flowers are from my stash, and they complement the doll and the papers.

I used the same skin tones to colour her legs. I used a black copic marker and the clear wink of stella to colour her shoes.

Some ribbon, seam binding and butterflies complete the tag.

FRAMED HEART

Hello
Thank you for popping into Megs Garden  Blog
Annette here
Today I'm sharing with you a
 'FRAMED HEART'
created with papers from the
LAVANDE collection from
Purples, mauves, lilac & lavender are not colours I work with often
however this range certainly managed to get my creative juices working
The frame was a plastic one bought from a bargain store,
I painted with gesso, then rubbed with inka golds in purple & silver.
I fussy cut the floral heart & adhered it to a heart shaped doily,
A spray of flowers, a sprinkle of glitter, metal 'LOVE' title & a quote:
' the best & most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or
even touched- they must be felt with the heart.'
completed the framed work .

Amazing You ~ Lavande Range

Hello Mary here today sharing with you my third layout documenting my Granddaughters Graduation using the Beautiful Lavande Range.
Once again I have kept the layout clean lines and simple

Amazing You

a closer look

For this layout I used the 12" x 4" strip that comes with the 12 x 12 papers to add as a interest behind my photo. I cut the strip into smaller strips and then I used a paint brush to add gesso around the edges to give definition . Usually I swipe gesso over the whole area and wipe back, but because I did not want the pattern dulled, this time I used the paint brush.
I added a little stamp in two of the corners, the soft mauve ribbon to add flow and then draped the  pearl trim and anchored it with a flower gem. Above my title I added the diamante gem.

Thank you for calling by. I hope you take the time to visit Megs Store , you won't be disappointed with all the gorgeous products to tempt you and also you will get lots of inspiration here on the blog from the DT's amazing creations
Until next time

Darling Live Your Best ~ Lavande Range

Hello Mary here to share another layout using the new Lavande Range.

Darling Live Your Best

How pretty is this Paper ! My last layout was quite clean and simple , because honestly these papers are so beautiful I don't like to cover them too much. But this time I resisted and decided to go a little OTT , just to show not to be scared to get a little arty with the papers if you choose.

with the 12 x 12 papers you also receive 4" x 12" strips. I used one of these strips cut down to mat my photo under the black cardstock (you can just see some pattern around the edge )

I have added pieces of  mauve mesh  around my photo at certain places to add a bit of colour and softness. I used the fancy round frame to highlight my title and I tied the soft mauve sheer ribbon around it and then weaved it through the flower cluster. All these products can be found at Megs Store,
From my stash added paint drips, texture paste through a stencil, water paints  and a little stamping to the page .The chipboard "darling" is from A2Z Scraplets.
If you pop over to Megs Store you can view the whole Lavande Range by clicking on the YouTube Link
I hope I have inspired you to take a look at what is available In the Lavande Range , as it is so beautiful to create with.
Until next time
Happy Creating
Mary x
