Vintage Shadow Box

Hello Everyone,

How Meg's Vintage Journal Card collections conjure up different ways to use the beautiful images!

From something bland to something beautiful!

I have used a plain MDF wood shadow box, painted antique cream and edged in ribbon and pearls.

Filling each shaped opening, I have an abundance of paper flowers, more pearls, a crochet square, and even a piece of jewellery. I am never one to shy away from all things Over The Top!

By far, the star of the shadow box is, without a doubt, the delicate lady with her mirror image, from Meg's collection.

Edged in fine die cut swirls with bling accents, paired with one of Meg's framed wording sentiments to complete, the overall finish makes for an unusual but unique decorator piece.

FRAMED HEART

Hello
Thank you for popping into Megs Garden  Blog
Annette here
Today I'm sharing with you a
 'FRAMED HEART'
created with papers from the
LAVANDE collection from
Purples, mauves, lilac & lavender are not colours I work with often
however this range certainly managed to get my creative juices working
The frame was a plastic one bought from a bargain store,
I painted with gesso, then rubbed with inka golds in purple & silver.
I fussy cut the floral heart & adhered it to a heart shaped doily,
A spray of flowers, a sprinkle of glitter, metal 'LOVE' title & a quote:
' the best & most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or
even touched- they must be felt with the heart.'
completed the framed work .

Whilst you are visited scroll through the previous posts & be inspired by the lovely creations from the Garden Girls

Happy Scrapping

Moment in Time by Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again and this time I am going to share my new Meg's Garden Printer's tray made with Gentlemen collection, but as totally non- masculine project.
I always try to maximize my craft  supplies. Living in Israel makes the shopping  and shipping kind of Mission Impossible and for this reason I try to  buy the most versatile products to make the possibilities to use them  wider.
So Meg's Garden Gentlemen collection was the one I would never buy. But then I 've got it and  was amazed by the options and the hidden potential of those most gorgeous papers!
This Printer's tray was made with this collection- the strips only- and it's suitable for both genders and even looks a bit feminine with some butterflies and flowers arranged inside the tray.

I cut the strips and the single 12*12'' paper to fit the tray windows (lets say that I made it with no measure system; it was time consuming, but after all this is a big project that should be time consuming).
Each piece of paper was distressed and inked with a dark blue ink. In some windows I added extra tags and even covered then with Frames transparencies.I made some stamping with Vintage collage stamps, such as " Yesterday" or " Moment in time" sayings. Then I added a flow of transparent hand cut butterflies , some clocks and a hot air balloon. Almost 100% of embellishments can be found in Meg's Garden shop (see the list below).

The only big  product added here are 2 big chipboards, one made as a title ; both are heat embossed with
blue, gold and black powders. I added 2 " found" pieces: one wooden button and one piece of old jewelry. I really like this vintage look of the tray and hope you like it too.

Supply list:

Old world time transparency
More butterflies transparency

Ivory Pearls
Pen nibs

Adriana plays Vintage with the new Elements

Hello Bloggers

Adriana has taken the new Elements papers & created these awesome tags & a Card.

'Hi there everyone,
Today I have created for you all a card and framed tag project.
Using the some of the new Vintage Elements papers from Meg's Garden.
I just love vintage images and could not wait to play
with these elements.
First, are 2 vintage tags which I framed inside
inside a Kaisercraft  beyond the page photo frame.

I applied gesso around the edges of frame and while still
wet I gathered pieces of muslin, using the gesso to adhere the muslin
to the frame, this gives a very shabby effect to it.
The background paper inside each pocket is the

from Meg's Garden

Vintage Frame

The tags are covered with the Music sheets and Old Writing 1 - P2061 papers
which are NEW available from Meg's Garden website

Close up of Vintage Lady Tag

I covered the tag with the Old writing paper
stamped the La Blanche fence and lightly coloured
with distress markers
Cut image and ornate tag then
place the image inside the tag
I then adhered photo corners around
the Ornate tag.

using the some of the new papers from Meg's Garden.
I created and decorated a small frame, I have called it "Shabby Chic Summer"

They are great  for background work for projects and I also used one of the summer
images from A Summer's Day Collage 12 x 12 sheets.

All the velvet Flowers are available from

Meg's Garden website - Velvet Flowers

The background paper behind the the
Chipboard frame image is Laces in Cream P6240A
a new collection of background papers called A Touch of Lace papers

With the chipboard frame I painted it white and then stamped
some text with Antique Photo Ink, inked the edges as well.
The leaves are cut with a leaves die and Ode to a summer's Day papers.
The frame was bright gold, I lightly applied gesso all over it to
for a softer look.

Beautiful frame Adriana - well done. Love all the embellishments.

Adriana & I have been have fun this last week playing with HTML - at least Adriana is but I am not. We will eventually get it together. Right now I am blaming my PC for not being able to talk to her Mac - it is certainly not me.

Hi
The latest challenge for the Design Team is to have a choice of  'Vintage, Parisian or Victorian' in the title of their projects.

Adriana said:"I decided that because February is the month of LOVE I named my projects "Vintage Valentine".
I have created a "Vintage Valentine Frame", "Vintage Valentine Mini Book" & a Tag".

and she has done extremely beautiful & very vintage projects for the month of LOVE.  Happy Valentines Day to all
