UPLIFTING JOURNAL

Hello & Welcome to my blog,
Hoping this finds you well
Today I'm sharing my final project using
the 'LAVANDE' collection from
I love making journals & generally use them as gifts
so I write uplifting quotes for the recipient
to dwell or meditate upon.
FRONT COVER
INSIDE COVER & FACING PAGE
PAGES 2 & 3
Hand dyed lace, organza ribbon with flowers & leaves
the quote reads:
'Love yourself first & everything else falls into place'

PAGES 4 & 5
Lavender with a touch of green flowers with green gems
to add some sparkle
quote:
'Encourage yourself, Believe in yourself & Love yourself,
Never doubt who you are.'

PAGES 6 & 7
mixture of flowers in the made shades from the purple spectrum,
a painted frame to replicate the circlet of lavender
on the opposite page
quote:
'Be yourself because an original is always worth more than a copy'

PAGES 8 & 9
A delicate piece of embroidered lace is trimmed with a satin ribbon.the flowers have a pinkier tone
which adds another level of  femininity ..
quote:
'you are more powerful than you know & beautiful just as you are...'

I hope you enjoyed my little journal &
I helped to inspire you to create one for yourself..

SHERLOCK JOURNAL

 Hello all .. Annette here..
thanks for popping by
today I'm sharing with you a journal I created using
SHERLOCK JOURNAL VOL II papers
I really enjoy playing with neutral colours
& distressing,  grunging  & making mini albums
so I LOVED this new range
'it was right up my alley' as they say

My cover was made from scratch with chipboard
using gel medium I adhered my chosen papers to front, back & spine
inked across the paper & around the edges for a pre-loved book look
decorating the join with mesh ribbon
then used photo corners & a metal flourish with a handle adhered on top .
there is a real feather under the quill
clocks are from a previous paper from Meg's Garden
acetate from my stash is adhered as a pocket so photos can be added
lift the metal ring to flip out the page for journalling &/or photo
tags slide out
mount for photo
tags for more writing & a mat for small photo
tag with key opens the flip out
The letter unties & opens out & the lions head page flips out as well
a post card for more journaling & a photo mount

final page with space to write the end of your journal entries

Are you ready for some Sherlock?
The journal papers are ready for you!

GIFT BOXES

Hello & Welcome
to MEG"S GARDEN blogspot
Annette here
Just prior to Christmas at my LSS the lovely Glenda
shared with us how to make these lidded boxes from cardstock
well what a frenzy of creativity that released
you really have never seen so many different coloured boxes made
Glenda certainly sparked us all into activity.
they hold cakes of 'Twilleys Soaps' which are also decorated
today I am sharing my take
using SPRING PASTELS range

BOX of FOUR

Trimmed with lace, flowers. organza ribbons, & bling
this lovely box of prettily decorated soaps would delight when given as a gift.
This double box has a lift up lid, is trimmed with lace around the sides.
pieces of Ephemera from the range complete the box top ..
SINGLES

these two boxes were inspired by a large matchbox
adding a metal handle to pull the drawer out
the soaps are nestled onto tulle or muslin

hope you liked my gift boxes ..they were fun to make
