Pink & Green collection

Using one of the latest collections from Meg's Garden, I have created two cards in totally different styles.

Firstly, black and white - with a hint of colour.

From the Cut & Create pages included in the Pink & Green collection, I fussy cut around a selection of Parisian notices and placed randomly to cover the base of my card.
The lovely lady in silhouette, fussy cut from an Art Tag, is mounted on top of the background. The card is finished with cream lace, bling and the touch of colour - two beautiful Cut & Create roses tucked under a final Parisian label.

Now for a totally different look, but still using the same versatile collection.

I started with a beautiful muted background paper for the front of my card.
Taking inspiration from the details in the paper - the imagery of a rolled corner - I gently slit the rolled edge and slipped a Cut & Create fan and butterfly emerging from underneath the fold. I then made a corner feature of pale green ribbon with a pink accent ribbon on the opposite side for balance.

Finishing touches include pink embroidered lace with the Cut & Create sentiment atop, flowers, bling and a handmade bow.

Easy and simple when you have stunning images on superb quality paper, plus complimenting trims and flowers - all available now in Meg's Garden Pink & Green collection.

A Vintage Style Junk Journal

Hello everyone & welcome
Today I would like to share with you a vintage style junk journal that I have created using products from Meg's Garden online store.

Video Link:    https://youtu.be/WSwXWfv8UEE

I did not really have any set ideas when I first started creating this little journal book other than to try & use as much of the patterned papers and ephemera pieces from the cut and create sheets as I could. I have a very large box that I store all of my Meg's Garden supplies in and set about gathering patterned papers & ephemera pieces with similar colours.
The front cover has been embellished with die cut shapes, flowers, cheesecloth & self-adhesive pearls. This journal measures 5"x 5 ½". The cover is made from chipboard.

The spine is decorated with gold trim and a metal charm. Gold organza ribbon wraps around as a closure and ties in front.

There are 10 pages plus the front and back inside covers. The pages are created using walnut cream bazzill. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly this little book came together. There are lots of pockets and tuck spots throughout and I have decorated with lace, paper flowers, charms, doilies, ribbons & trims.

The edges of many of the papers have been distressed or torn and then inked.

These are the tags & ephemera pieces scattered throughout the journal.

The back cover.

Stop by Meg's Garden online store to see these papers and for the latest up and coming patterned papers plus lots of inspirational ideas.

Until next time.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.

ELEGANT BOOKMARKS FOR THE BOOK LOVERS .

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today I would like to share with you, some Bookmarks that I have created.

I think at sometime or other we have tried to tidy up our paper stash, am I right?  Well I had one of those days and found myself keening thinking of new ways to use up some of Meg's Gardens 'Cut and Create' and some off cuts of her beautiful Collections.

So I decided to make some Bookmarks, which I will now be able to include in Birthday and Thank You cards, just to name a couple.

Here is a closer look for you, standard size and also a corner bookmark, which is somewhat different, but I really love how it sits on the corners.

Well I hope that you enjoyed our little journey today and trust that are now inspired to try out Meg's Garden new Collections and start creating.

Thanks for taking the time to look and until next time........happy creating....Liz

Vintage Journal Card

Hello Mary here to share a card created with the new Vintage Journal Cards now available in Megs Store

I mounted the journal card on a piece of cardstock and used foam dots to raise the image. As my base I have used the Watercolour Background Paper, which has the lovely touch of the photo corners.

Under the raised image I have placed the Lattice and circle die cut and a strip of lace at the side  . I finished off the card with some pastel enamel dots and the sheer green ribbon bow.

I decorated the inside with a image from a cut and create sheet.
The Vintage Journal cards come in Florals,  Vintage Ladies and Vintage Men. I think these along with the cut and create images are also great for Journals and Mix Media Projects.
I hope I have inspired you to get creative with the lovely goodies in Megs Store

Happy Creating

All You Need is Love

Hello Mary here to share a layout with the A4 Spring Pastel PP

I have placed the A4 PP to a white piece of cardstock and added the flower pattern through a stencil with texture paste down each side.

I have placed my photo on the envelope image from a cut and create sheet and placed this on a embossed piece of cardstock and tucked the all you need is love sentiment behind the photo from a cut and create sheet.
The Mesh ribbon adds some more texture and then I've added a double bow of Mauve and silver , attached the little gold Key charm & the flower trailing down which I have fussy cut from the cut and create sheet.

Another layout for the album. Megs Store has beautiful Papers and embellishements to document all those special occasions.

Vintage Journal Cards

Hello Mary here to share with you what I created with the New Vintage Journal cards that Meg has in the store. This time I decided  to create a Post Card with the Vintage Journal Card image

Meg has the lined paper in the store and I have cut to a post card size and added the vintage Journal card image to one side of the card and have the lined PP to the opposite side to write the name and address details

This lined paper would also be great for journals

To the back I have the lined PP to write your letter and the image from the cut and create sheet as  a decorative stamp .
Now I can write my Pen Pal a letter pop it in a envelope and she has a personalized post card . Simple, effective and unique.
I am sure you can think of other creative ways to use the Vintage Journal cards in your creative process.

Fill their fields with laughter and scatter the sun on their day ~ Sherlock 111 A New Case

Hello Crafters,
Mary here with another layout using the Sherlock Holmes 111 A New Case Range, I have really enjoyed creating with this range.

Fill their Fields with laughter and scatter the Sun on their Day

This is a photo of my cousins both now in their eighties and nineties respectively . The young girl is also my Godmother.

I love this Die from Megs Store and I think it is perfect to continue the foliage in the photo . Behind my photo I have used the 4 x 12 strips of pp that come with the 12" PP and cut it in strips to mat the photo. I've added Dodo Vine and mesh ribbon beneath the die cuts and added jute twine and a little antique chess key .
For my sentiment "smile" from the cut and create sheet I highlighted the word with distress ink and stapled it along with Gold Skeleton Mesh webbing  to a ticket stub , also fussy cut from the cut and create sheet.
I hope I have inspired you to visit Megs Store and grab supplies to document your memories.
Thank You for calling by and Happy Creating

Happiness ~ In the Watercolour Garden

Hello Mary here to share a layout with you , using the "In The Watercolour Garden "paper to document a happy moment captured on my daughters wedding day.

Happiness

With the lovely delicate lace pattern around the paper I think it is lovely for a wedding layout.

I have layered up images from the cut and create sheets behind the photo and inked the edges for definition. I love the gold Victorian photo corners  that I have placed at opposite corners of the photo. The large butterfly I have fussy cut from a cut and create sheet. The flair is from my stash.

I finished if with a cream narrow ribbon bow added to the flower image on the paper.
Thank you for calling by, for all these gorgeous products visit Megs Store
