She Loved Flowers, Birds and a good hand of Cards

Hello Mary back again to share another layout with the gorgeous Shades of Green Range.
I wanted to use this beautiful Pattern Paper as my Mum Loved birds, so I immediately thought of her.

She loved Flowers, Birds and a Good Hand of Cards

How beautiful is this pattern paper ! I received my order of the dies and was keen to use them as well. This die has two in the pack and I used the smaller framed scalloped oval frame for this layout. I can see myself using this die a lot, they are a good size and will also be great for using to create cards as well as layout.

I have placed a little doily under my photo and frame and added a cluster in the corner. Flower , ribbon, dodo vine, circle filigree, salt mesh ribbon , doily  and dragon fly charm are all from Megs store. I fussy cut the "admit one and Play from the cut and create sheets from Megs .

"Fly Free " I fussy cut from the cut and create sheet . To finish the layout I placed the corner droop with loop in opposite corners of the layout and some pastel enamel drops

Also I added a tag from the cut and create sheet that I tucked in the side of my layout for my journalling

made a bow the narrow ribbon to pull the tag out by

Thanks so much for calling by, I hope you take the time to pop over to the Store to take a look at the beautiful products available to create with.

Ephemera elegance

Hello Bloggers,
I am popping in today with some more cards made from the gorgeous products from Meg's Garden.
Using the NEW Shabby Chic paper collection and the ephemera to cut & create.
I have made 3 cards using the same theme...

I used the light green background paper from the shabby chic collection, along with an organza ribbon .

I loved spending the time fussy cutting from the ephemera sheets.

Using the blue butterfly from the ephemera sheets, I mounted it on an embossed white cardstock and then on top of the blue background paper from the Shabby chic range

I have used lace and pearl trim to add to the dimension and elegance of this simple card.

This card, I created my own background using pearlescent water colours, trying to match the rouge as much as I could.

I used a thin satin ribbon from Meg's Garden to add a simple finishing touch.  The card is beautiful enough not to need a sentiment.

Hope you like what I have created today.

See you again soon

Take Flight Everyday

Hello everyone...
I have been working on a few things for Meg's Garden recently and love working with her products.
Using the French Chic range with the Card Artists' Packs/Mini Papers, I have made a few more cards.

My cards are simple, trying to make the most of the pattern paper from Meg's design because they are so beautiful and could be a card on its own.

I have used Meg's rose satin seamed ribbon, a Pink & White Apple Blossom Flower and the pearl trim looped under the flower.  I didn't want to lose the butterfly behind the ribbon so I cut around the wing to lift it up on top of the ribbon.  And I used the sentiment 'Take Flight Everyday' to finish the card.  My photo is very light, so the dusky pink is more like the image above.

My next card uses the French Chic Card Artist Pk 2

I have used the oval frame of the patterned paper to guide my card here and I love how it's turned out,

I have used a cream satin seamed ribbon along with the pearl trim to make a layered bow on an oval chipboard frame that I inked black with a stamped image of a silhouette portrait inside. The paper was a perfect frame for this simple design.  It's a card that is suitable for any occasion.

My final card, was using the candy striped PP from French Chic Card Artist Pk 1

I wanted to show the flowers in this background paper so I turned the paper horizontally...

I braided 3 coloured, 3mm satin ribbons, that matched the pattern paper, on top I used a pink rue flower with stamens with a simple Hello clear sticker and it's another simple card that shows off Meg's paper.
I hope you've enjoyed popping by to see my card samples today.

A Fathers Love ~ In the Watercolour Garden

Hello Mary here to share another layout using the In the WaterColour Garden range of Papers.

A Fathers Love

I have layered up little left over pieces of PP , roughed the edges and inked as a base for my photo. I have used strips of Megs Lace under the photo as well.

On the heart doily I have created a cluster with embellishments from Megs Store, the flowers , pearl trim and little butterfly charm all tied up with the narrow blue ribbon and the Beautfiul sentiment fussy cut from the cut and create sheet.

I punched some heart shapes in the blue and silver , cut the silver in half and added to the blue heart , a delicate cherry blossom pattern stencil and texture paste.
Another page I can add to the album.
Thank you for calling by and hope I have inspired you to visit Megs Store  , you won't be disappointed.

Smile!

Hello Everyone

Just popping into Meg's to show you the latest I have made with the French Chic range.

I have used two of the same paper (below) from the Pk 2 to create this layout.

This is a layout of my nephews and niece, using the blue French Chic papers and some embellishments from Meg's Garden.

I have torn the edges of the PP and inked them, I have folded the paper to bring some texture to the layout.

I have used pearl trim and a delicate lace in the corner and some white enamel dots, I have used water paints to create water marks and drops.

The heart embellishment is from Meg's garden, as well as the tiny pale blue ribbon

I used a simple wooden "smile" word.

Hope you have all had an amazing silly season!

Take Care

A New York Christmas

Hello Mary here again to share some more Christmas with you.
Once again I am demonstrating how you can use PP that is not Christmas Pattern to create a Christmas layout .

I have used the Watercolour In Blue PP for my background, but with the gorgeous Twinkling Christmas Ephemera , some stamping and texture paste I think it works perfectly well as a Christmas Layout.
Of course the Twinkling Christmas range of papers are just beautiful, but this time I opted for the Card Pack and after finishing my cards I wanted to use the gorgeous Ephemera I have left from the Twinkling Christmas Range , so using Megs papers that I still have in another range is how I worked around this.

I am really loving creating with the beautiful Ephemera  and Card pack.
You can preview the beautiful Twinkling Christmas Range here on YouTube . This Range really does make creating cards and Christmas layouts, tags etc so easy. I've placed Megs little silver stars and angel to my cluster to add more Christmas . You can order the stars and angels in Megs Bundle of Goodies

A Twinkling Christmas Ephemera Sheets

Told you the images are divine. Pop over to Megs Store for all your Christmas needs
I still have some cards to share in another post. Until then

Be You Be Unique ~ Lavande Range

Hello Mary here. I am still working on my Granddaughters Graduation album using the beautiful Lavande Range (its just so pretty )

Be you be Unique

I have been keeping my pages for the album  quite clean and simple as the papers themselves are so pretty.  For this layout I tore a piece out of the top PP with the gorgeous Lacey edging and used one of the 4" x 12" strips ( which comes with the 12 " papers ) to replace it. This adds contrast and interest . I also rolled the edges of the top paper a little to give definition and it has the soft music print  12" x 4" strip PP showing through.

I layered my photo on another piece of the 12 x 4 strip in the range and also a piece of Megs Paper Doily. In opposite corners I have added a Diamante Trim and from left over Pattern Paper I made a layered flower. The large Butterfly , feather and the Unique word are fussy cut from a cut and Create sheet. The cut and create sheets have so many beautiful images.
I finished my layout by adding a strip of the delicate daisy edged organza ribbon and narrow mauve ribbon.

Thank you for calling by and I hope I have inspired you to visit Megs Shop and create with this beautiful range.

LOVE ~ PARISIAN GARDENS RANGE

Hello Mary here to share some creating with Megs Gardens gorgeous range of papers and embellishments.
Firstly a layout from a range I truly love ~ Parisian Gardens. The papers are so pretty I really hate to cover them . Using some really old small photo's helps to solve this problem and keeping the page relatively simple.

I have had the little brass frames for ages , so decided to stagger them down the page with the narrow ribbon threaded through and cascading down the page also. For the middle frame I used a beautiful image from the cut and create sheet. The photo's are of my Mum and Dad and my aunt. To attach the frames I found Gel Medium was the best option. With the large fussy cut roses I placed them on foam squares to give dimension and then added green leaves to the roses

I have fussy cut quite a few images from the cut and create pages. The love Sentiment is cut from the cut and create page and shaded . I have used the oval filigree to attach the fussy cut images from. The large roses are fussy cut from the cut and create pages also.

I have added a little  antique pink lace under the top and bottom photo frames to add a touch of softness. I have used the little tags from the cut and create sheet at the side of my photos to add my documentation on .  All the products except the frames and heart chipboard piece can be found at Megs Store
Next I would like to share a card

I created the card with left over papers from the rose quartz range . I added the first layer of PP then  added the sheer green ribbon vertically down the page and placed another piece of pp over this.  I added a row of cream lace and a row of  antique pink lace under the  postcard image from the cut and create sheet. Behind the postcard image I have added another image and the Madame sentiment to add more layers.  I finished off by adding the filigree strip with a narrow ribbon bow and some pearl strips  and finally the fussy cut birds sitting on the branch .

I have been enjoying making these tags so much. This time I decided to make a masculine tag using the image and Monsieur word from the cut and create page.

My best friend is currently in hospital after having a double hip replacement, so I made a card to cheer her.

The background I have used  pieces of left over papers from layouts using Megs Gardens range of papers (nothing gets wasted ). I made a base using gesso, tissue paper , thread and mist to layer the images on. Lots of fussy cutting .I cut the centre from the Wreathe of flowers image and placed the Parisian lady underneath to show through. Fussy cut the two springs of flowers to place at the side, all are from the Cut and Create sheets. I added some Antique nylon Pink lace which is a little hard to see on the photo. On the opposite side I have the cream lace and Cream wide ribbon, which I have added the fussy cut decorative image upon. I then added a couple of  round silver Diamante Trim
Thank you for calling by , I hope you take some time to scroll through the blog for some amazing inspiration from the DT
until next time
