Hello Mary here to share another layout using the In the WaterColour Garden range of Papers.

A Fathers Love

I have layered up little left over pieces of PP , roughed the edges and inked as a base for my photo. I have used strips of Megs Lace under the photo as well.

On the heart doily I have created a cluster with embellishments from Megs Store, the flowers , pearl trim and little butterfly charm all tied up with the narrow blue ribbon and the Beautfiul sentiment fussy cut from the cut and create sheet.

I punched some heart shapes in the blue and silver , cut the silver in half and added to the blue heart , a delicate cherry blossom pattern stencil and texture paste.

Just like a Butterfly ~ In the Watercolour Garden

Hello Mary here today to share a layout using the new In the Watercolour Garden Range , such a beautiful range !

With the 12 x 12 papers you also receive a 4 X 12 " strip of each pattern. I have fussy cut the butterfly image from this strip to add in the corner of my photo and create a cluster , adding both sheer ribbon and satin ribbon from Megs shop into the cluster . Also I used the left over paper from the strip to make a couple of die cut flowers to pop in the cluster. How gorgeous is the gold cups that I added the clear bead in the centre . I used the vine wire to add extra dimension to the fussy cut image to add extra branches. On the quote from the Cut and Create I have placed the gold butterfly charm , I also added the music notes fussy cut from the cut and create sheet, I shaded them both with a grey ink.  Popped the Unique image from the cut and create sheet on the top corner of the photo of my Granddaughter doing her contemporary dance .
Having a daughter getting married next month I think this range would be so beautiful to document the wedding. You should pop over to the shop where there is a link to a Youtube video showcasing the range in full, it is just divine.

Memories for the book of Life

Hello Mary here to share a layout using the Vintage Journal 03 background Paper , along with images from the Parisian Gardens Cut and Create Sheet.

I have added texture paste through a stencil which I then sponged with  pan pastels to add some colour. I also added stamping and washi tape to my layout. The Remember Sentiment is fussy cut from the cut and create sheet and I shaded it with  Tim Holts vintage photo distress ink. I used mesh ribbon in both coffee and caramel at the bottom of the chipboard circle for texture and interest

I   added the little butterfly filigree charm to the circle vine chipboard piece and sitting at the bottom of my chipboard circle  I have the frog with the horn  , attached to him I have some narrow ribbon twirling down to the key that I fussy cut from the Cut and Create page. These little charms just add that lovely little touch to a layout. The large butterfly sitting on the circle is also fussy cut from the cut and create page ( there are so many beautiful images to choose from ) . I have a piece of cream lace which I think adds to the old world feel of the layout.
The Photo was taken over 37 years ago, I am with some friends and holding my first born. I thought the papers suited this memory I wanted to document and keep .

STROLL THROUGH THE GARDEN ~ PARISIAN GARDENS RANGE

Hello Mary here to share a layout created with the Beautiful Parisian Gardens Range . I love this range a lot !

With very little water (living in the country we only had tank water)  my Mum had a big, beautiful garden. She loved pottering and planting and nuturing her garden, so the Cut and Create Sentiment Stroll through the Garden , gave me the idea for my layout.

I am also a little addicted to making these tags at the moment for my layouts and cards. The gorgeous images from the Cut and Create sheets are perfect for them. On this tag I have used the filigree and added some gold stick on dots. I added the gold bee charm to my flower and leaf cluster, all from Megs Store and finished off with the soft , green nylon ribbon from Megs Store.

The bead added a nice touch , along with some lace .

then of course the lady and gentleman strolling through the garden from the Cut and Create Sheet was a must.

I added a little texture with a stencil and texture paste.

Spring pastels gift bag of cards

There was still plenty of paper and embellishments left in the first DT kit I received so I wanted to use it well and decided on a gift bag of cards as a work colleague is always asking me to bring in some cards for sale.

I decorated a plain recycled paper bag and filled it with 3 of the loveliest DL sized cards i have made, using primarily items in the DT kit and my imagination, only adding the minimum of items from my own stash.

Gift bag

Beginning with the front panel of the bag, layer a section of the printed Spring Pastels paper onto a darker purple paper, distressing the edges with either scissors or a purpose made distressor tool.

Carefully cut an assortment of elements from the ephemera cut and create sheet.  Where applicable I always ink with pen or chalk inks around the cut edges to remove the white card core and resulting halo effect. It helps to co-ordinate the design.

I assembled the cut elements with the ladies photograph into the frame and finished it with a single daisy trim element, 5cm green Leaves and small blue fabric flower clusters which I spread out a little.

Using the lace, folded in half, I ran a running stitch along the folded edge and pulled it in to form a lacy rosette which i used to back one of the Organza Satin Rose with pearl flowers

To add variety to the bag I embossed the 'post card' label with holographic embossing powder.  The card stock takes this fine powder very well and add an interesting twinkle o the title.

Using one of the smaller tags and the Butterfly in filigree charm on a small length of 5mm lavender silk ribbon, I mage a small tag which I looped around the cream organza ribbon handles of the gift bag

To finish the bag i adhered a printed strip of un-embelished paper on the reverse, and painted the sides with pearl acrylic paint.
I cut a few of the daisies from the daisy edged white ribbon and sprayed some purple and then dropped them over the bag and adhered when a pleasing result was obtained.

Card A - Imagine (in blue)

I cut a panel of the blue printed Spring Pastels paper, ensuring the background floral image remained prominent, and distressed the edges and darkened them with distress ink.  The paper takes distressing and distress ink very well.
I adhered this directly to the DL card and outlined with white gel pen

I selected a variety of images from the ephemera cut and create pages. 
I do not always use all the elements I had in mind or have prepared at the beginning of the design, sometimes when i check the design or layout the next day some items do not fit in the overall design and are removed before everything is permanently glued in place.

To co-ordinate the white large semi open Mini Rosebuds i inked the top lightly with the same distress ink, and curled the stem around my 'pokey tool' to get a coiled effect.

I assembled all the cut elements, decoupaged some of the floral layers over the photograph and backed the rosebud with a satin edged organza bow with tails, on top of a simple organza bow, and backed the arrangement with pearl trim sprays to make a statement embellishment for this beautiful card.

I clipped a few of the tiny blue fabric flowers from their arrangement and positioned them around the layered title.

Card B - Love

The ephemera and cut and create pages in this Spring Pastels has some exquisite filigree line art pieces which I have used as backing to the title in card A, and here I have cut in half to suggest decorative hinges for this card.

I applied a light coating of white gesso to the Filigree strip and Filigree long oval which i broke in half to layer on top of the line art to add dimension and texture to my faux hinges.  In the end i did not use the filigree strip in this project.  This sometimes happens as the design is never planned in advance, it just evolves as the separate elements are brought together, tried and sometimes rejected from the overall design.

I chose this image of the elegant lady because of the delicate pink background and because I would be able to replicate the rosebud in her dress waist band on the design to add dimension and interest.

On the left quarter of the page I layered the Pink and white Nylon Lace to create a wide band suggestive of a book spine.
At the top of the layers I adhered an Organza Satin Rose with pearl and two short sprays of silver bead trim.

At the bottom centre of the lace layers i assembled a fussy cut line art element and single silver daisy trim, and a loose bow of pink organza ribbon.
The layout was mounted on a pale pink DL card.
The embellishments and papers of this Spring pastels design kit compliment and co-ordinate divinely.

Card C - Beauty

I sprayed the Organza Satin Rose with pearls using distress stain.  It takes a full 24 hours to dry naturally.  I dabbed the rosebud into a puddle of excess ink.
The colour was chosen to co-ordinate with the flowers in the ladies hat.

Various elements were cut from the ephemera and cut and create pages to co-ordinate with the colour theme. I inked the white cut edges with both magenta and black sharpie pens to reduce the halo effect of cutting.  I also gently curl back the edges of a cut element between my fingernails for the same effect.  this is also helpful if the element is going to be mounted on foam pads.

I had a short length of white lace left from the previous designs, for the bottom edge of this design, and made a ruffled ribbon by folding and pleating the organza ribbon onto double sided tape, which was then obscured by the addition of a length of pearl trim.
The colour of the organza ribbon compliments the ladies dress.

To complete the green colour trio, a green ribbon was threaded through the tag to attach the Dragonfly extra small charm.
the title was fussy cut and mounted on a divine filigree line art label onto the post card.
The layout was mounted on a gloss black DL card to pick up the birds and the hair in the design.

A WINDOW IN TIME ~ VINTAGE JOURNAL RANGE

Hello Mary here , gosh the year is fast slipping away ! Today I would like to share a layout and card using the Vintage Journal Range.

A WINDOW IN TIME

I was inspired to create this layout by the image of the clock on the Pattern Paper, perfect for my photo of the clock window at the Musee D Orsay in Paris.

Image fussy cut from the Cut and create that I have added to the top of my photo. So many beautiful images from the cut and create, there is heaps of images to add to layouts and cards from one sheet.

Flowers , and the little gold butterfly are from Megs Shop as is the lace and postcard image that I have cut from the Cut and Create Images

I have used quite a bit of mix media on this layout, Megs products go with all styles. 

And now a masculine card , created with the Vintage Journal Range. Once again I have fussy cut images from the Cut and Create Paper and added organza ribbon and the inspire charm all from Megs Garden Shop.

Below a cut and create sheet, as you can see you get soooo many images on a sheet .

Vintage negative dies journal "Secret Garden" in box for Meg's Garden

I like this quote. When I received Meg's new paper collection "Rose Quartz" this book came up to my mind. I really don't know why,maybe because of all amazing flower images or maybe because that super amazing gem I received with all kit which I really love

..so I was quiet sure I am going to make journal or diary with my secret garden :D 

  Maybe you noticed that I am more in grunge style,not too much in shabby or pink so I was really surprised how easy was for me to work with this collection.That mix of soft pink and kind of purple,nearly brown purple (I know sounds crazy,but this color is very likable for eyes,can't describe it better) made me think about romantic garden, about magic, about girl who is keeping her diary hide somewhere from other people. So I made a box for her and her diary and I made a diary.

As my embellishments for a box I used images from Cut & Create sheet.This images look so great in metal frame.When we talk about metal,I used few charms from Meg's shop in my diary as well. Meg has amazing metal stuff in her shop.

 I am guessing it will be for long time to explain everything I made with a box and diary/ journal so I will let pictures talk behalf of my work ;-)
