Sherlock III+Shades of Green

Hello Meg's fan! Marina is here today with lovely mix of 2 our latest collections.
When I saw Sherclock III preview I decided to mix it with Shades of Green collection to create femine cards, so let's have a look what I create ))))
details:

Here for background I used Sherlock III and some elements from ephemera sheet. To create more colorful composition I used fussy-cutted flowers and clock from Shades of Green collection.

Here I used more Sherlock papers for layers and details and used Shades of Green only for stamped and fussy-cutted leaves and several elements from ephemera sheet.
Hope you enjoy my little experiment with these collections ))))

Have a wonderful day,

 some close-ups:

I wanted to create different works, so decided to use contrast papers and here background is in cold grey tones and central cluster is in warm brown tones. For all envelopes as first step I fussy-cutted all the details from Ephemera sheets and after just layered all of them before got the perfect result.

the second one:
 details:

here I used warm colors for the background and added dark elements for the contrast. the big clock is perfect for the main accent :-)

and the last one for today
 a few details:

this envelope is my fav :-)  because it is in light colors, despite the vintage appearance of the collection and the abundance of brown. and the best part of it this little pretty tag :-)

Hope you were enjoyed and inspired by my works and this collection and will create your oun Alchemy 101 projects!
Have a great day,
Marina.

happy memories together layout by Marina Gridasova

Hello! Marina here again with another one oylish layout using Alchemy 101 collection.
 a few close-ups:

I used this sheet for the background and the dark layer is Alchemy 03 paper. Most of layers were cutted from this sheet and from another pages of Ephemera from this collection. It was great that ephemera sheets had enough of elements different sizes and colors, because here I need to use some white accents (because this colour is on the photo) and I cut some of them and used. Also great here are some different tickets and tags and I use them here too.

The new collection is called 'A Twinkling Christmas'

The Christmas Fairies & Elves said that they wanted a collection to match their pastel tulle dresses. The pastel colours used are to celebrate the twinkling lights on the houses at Christmas & the joy created by the beautiful baubles & decorations.

Converting A4 Papers to a 12 x 12 Layout

I have always been a 12" x 12" scraper. The thought of scrapping an A4 layout terrifies me (yes, I have tried to, and the results were disastrous!). So, being a scrapper who cannot bear to waste paper, I had to find a solution for all the A4 paper that came my way as a DT member. What's a girl to do? Why, tear the paper into pieces, then add it to a 12" x 12" piece of cardstock. Problem solved!!!

To help the page look cohesive, I added a glittered texture paste image (with a stencil) to the background, and layered paper and coloured lace over the top. The lace has been coloured with Shimmerz Inks, but you can use any brand of spray ink to colour lace.

I have done a lot of fussy cutting from the Ephemera papers to create visual interest on my layout. I am totally in love with these little birds. The chipboard frame has been embossed with an embossing enamel, to create a thick lustrous finish, and then I have added flowers to complete the layout.

A little more fussy cutting of feathers and blossoms to create this accent down the right side of the photo. I have added Kindy Glitz to the feather to add glittered highlights.

I have an addiction to tassels. Is there anybody who doesn't? And Meg's tassels are just too gorgeous - I would use them on everything if I could. Did I mention they come in lots of different colours?

Flowers, flowers and more flowers. Why stick to one type of flower when you can use a mixture - paper, velvet and fabric flowers have all come into play on this layout. And if the colkour doesn't match - change it! That's what mists and paints are for!!!

What's the best way to fill a large empty space? With journaling, of course! I feel like a layout isn't complete unless it has some journalling - after all, aren't we supposed to be recording the stories and moments, not just the images?

Thank-you for stopping by and joining me.

Cheers and happy scrapping, xxx

Linda shows us how to do 2 Gift Bags & a card

Hello Bloggers

'Hi everyone Linda here with some more Meg's Garden Christmas goodness

Today I thought I would try something a little different & decorate a couple of gift bags.

With a couple of dies and the beautiful Christmas papers from Meg's Garden they turned out way better than I expected they would. I also popped another Christmas card in as well.

.............................................................................

Starting with the card today.

Here I have used 2 different papers

Cutting the tree out of Oh Christmas Tree paper strip and popping some foam dots on the back to make it sit above the rest of the card.

From Tis Christmas Time new collection I used Christmas plaid strip to cover my card.

Cutting a few flowers out of the left over strip paper to decorate one of the corners.

Memory Maze chipboard words covered in gesso the glass glitter in gold.

I used a few of the off cuts from the papers to cover a chipboard banner and added some green tara trim.

.........................................................................................

White Gift bag.

Using the Christmas & the Tree A4 collage sheet I cut a santa out and added foam dots to the back to make him pop, I also cut some christmas fern & leaves from A Berry Merry Christmas paper and popped them under the edge of santa.

Using a Tanya Leigh Designs transparency circle to help form part of the title. and added a ribbon bow and beads to the top corner.
Lots of beautiful flowers from Green Tara

Well done Linda - great ideas for gift bags & a card.  The gift bags are too good to end up on the floor with all the wrappings, ribbons & tags.  Please save.
