A Good Friend Knows all your best Stories

Hello Mary here to share another layout for my daughters wedding album . I also created the layout for a challenge at Artastic where the theme is Girls Only. You can view the story on my blog

To create the layout I have combined two ranges . I have used the 12 x 12 Paper from the Lavande Range as my base and to it I added the A4 size Spring Pastels Range . I really liked how the two combined created a lovely pastel palette that are also the colours in the bouquets .

I have fussy cut the flowers and Laugh images from the Cut and Create Papers and added some pink sheer ribbon from Megs Store as well.

I love the soft delicate feel the Hydrangea petals falling down the page give which I have also fussy cut from the Shabby Chic cut and create sheet.

Also sharing a card made with the Shabby Chic Background card pack paper. You receive 12 backgrounds in the pack , 2 of each design . Makes card making so easy

I have used one of the new dies in the shop , the wildflower die ( the doily die is from my own stash) Lace from Megs shop and the Lilac and butterfly images fussy cut from the Shabby Chic  cut and create sheet
Meg has a load of new product in the store at the moment, fabulous dies and so much more .
I hope you take the time to pop over and check them out.

Happy Creating

Simple Design to Create Cards

Happy New Year! I hope that you are having a safe and restful holiday season. The end of the year is always a whirlwind with preparations for gatherings with little free time to create, so I was so excited to find some time to use some of my Lavande papers from Meg's Garden to create two cards. My first uses some dies and flowers to create this all purpose card with a stamped sentiment. I was wanting a card that could be used for several occasions and I felt this sentiment was perfect.
I layered my papers and used foam tape for dimension. I also placed an oval die over part of the paper so that I could stamp my sentiment on it and incorporate it into my design.
My second card is a thank you card. I never seem to have enough of these cards! It is also from the same sheet of paper and was constructed in the same way.
I am really thrilled at how these cards turned out...simple design and easy to adapt for any card size and occasion.

Jingle all the Way

Hello Mary back to share some more Christmas Cards created with the new "A Twinkling Christmas Range " and also a layout combining Ephemera from the " A Twinkling Christmas " and PP from the Lavande Range.

Firstly the layout

Jingle all the Way

I really wanted to use the Baubles and tinsel from the Ephemera Sheet on a layout and combined with the PP from the Lavande Range it worked perfectly. I find one of the great thing about the ranges from Megs Garden they work well together

I have used the sheer pretty pink ribbon to attach the baubles to the tinsel and then a sheer silver ribbon to attach the bauble falling to the side. The Christmas tree and deer's are stamps and I added a silver star to the tree from Megs Store. The stars come in a strip and are self adhesive.

Jingle all the Way sentiment is cut from the Ephemera sheet and I shaded it with ink.

I will finish with a couple of Cards created so easily with the "A Twinkling Card Pack"
For this Card I simply added the Glass Bauble fussy cut from the Ephemera Sheet raised it with a foam adhesive to give depth and finished the card with the gold bow

I hope you are inspired to start Your Christmas projects and you can find all your needs at Megs Store.
I will pop back soon with more Cards I have created

Happy Creating

Wedding Day

Wedding Day

Hello everyone,
Leanne here with you today. I have created a scrapbook page that is simple and elegant using the stunning Lavande 12"x12" scrapbook patterned papers. These gorgeous patterned papers are in shades of purple, mauve & lilac.

I have fussy-cut around this lovely lace design and then adhered this to the top of my layout. Next I die cut a lace pattern shape in a lighter shade of patterned paper & adhered this to my fussy-cut piece. I have inked all of the papers with distress ink Milled Lavender.

Texture paste was applied to a stencil & allowed to dry before adding highlights to this area with glimmer mist spray & distress crayon. Next I applied some glitter glue for an added touch of glam & sparkle.

I have arranged my flowers to trail from the centre of the organza bow. I then added some seed beads to my floral bouquet to finish.

Please stop by Meg's Garden store for products used in this layout.

Until next time.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.

PRETTY IN LAVENDER

Hello It's Annette here
welcoming you to Megs Garden Blog
Today I wish to share with you my 'Mirror Image Frames'
.....well they're nearly mirror image ....
'Pretty in Lavender'
using the very pretty range of papers from
titled

These papers are lovely in their delicate colours of violet, mauve & lavender
& I was happy to start playing as soon as my  DT goodie box arrived ..
Meg also added in some extra trimmings &
I hunted through my stash & gathered 'purple'  stuff ...
the silver frames were a Christmas present from 'secret santa'
which I rubbed them with inka gold to highlight the pattern
the Chipboard frames were silver embossed then also rubbed with inka gold on the edges
I added water to the inka gold to colour my skeleton leaves
Using patterned paper as my background I adhered the chipboard &
the silver matted image
the tassle is made from a bead fringe which would be quite a number of years old
as it was in my mum's sewing treasures ( it will come in handy one day)
then added a spray of flowers & a sprinkle of beads to complete

PRETTY in LAVENDER
I'm quite pleased with the finished result & it's only the images that are not mirrored.
Please take some time to stroll (scroll) through the garden
& be inspired by the Garden Ladies

Happy Scrapping

Be You Be Unique ~ Lavande Range

Hello Mary here. I am still working on my Granddaughters Graduation album using the beautiful Lavande Range (its just so pretty )

Be you be Unique

I have been keeping my pages for the album  quite clean and simple as the papers themselves are so pretty.  For this layout I tore a piece out of the top PP with the gorgeous Lacey edging and used one of the 4" x 12" strips ( which comes with the 12 " papers ) to replace it. This adds contrast and interest . I also rolled the edges of the top paper a little to give definition and it has the soft music print  12" x 4" strip PP showing through.

I layered my photo on another piece of the 12 x 4 strip in the range and also a piece of Megs Paper Doily. In opposite corners I have added a Diamante Trim and from left over Pattern Paper I made a layered flower. The large Butterfly , feather and the Unique word are fussy cut from a cut and Create sheet. The cut and create sheets have so many beautiful images.
I finished my layout by adding a strip of the delicate daisy edged organza ribbon and narrow mauve ribbon.

Thank you for calling by and I hope I have inspired you to visit Megs Shop and create with this beautiful range.
Happy Creating

Memories

Hello everyone! It's Cathy here today and I have another layout to share with you using this beautiful collection from Meg's Garden called Lavande. It is just so beautiful to create with. I have another snapshot of my cousin's twin boys. They are seven months now. I am just amazed at the special connection they have.

To create my layout, I used the 12 x12 Lavande 07 and 11 papers. I inked the edges with Distress ink to vcreat an aged look. Using dimension foam tape adds dimension to the layers. I also cut of some of the 4 x 12 strips to make a tag and anything extra to the layout.

I had some ephemera left over from some of the other collections. It helped to add a vintage feel to the layout and to creat a focal point to the photo.
I also added some flowers and chipboard to my layout. I altered them either with white gesso or using Prima oil pastels.

When I created my background, I had some texture. I used a stencil and modelling paste plus two prima sprays. These are very subtle and you can see them if you look closely!

Shabby Chic Card

Shabby Chic Card

Hello everyone,
Leanne here to share with you my vintage shabby chic centre step card I created with the stunning Lavande paper collection. This collection of patterned papers is very feminine & perfect for any paper craft project.

Here I have distressed then inked the patterned paper with tea dye distress ink to create a vintage shabby chic look.
A handcrafted flower, a die-cut large leaf, punched out leaves & tiny flowers all created with the Lavande patterned papers adorn the centre panel.

Glimmer mist & gesso were splattered all over then diamantes were added for a touch of romance & bling.

LAVANDE 'SHAMPOO' BOX OF CARDS

Hello Bloggers,

Thanks for joining me today.  I wanted to share with you this lovely collection.

My sister had recently bought me some special hair shampoo and conditioner.  It came in this box and true to form with me, I never throw anything away that can be recycled in some shape or form.

Firstly, I set about decorating the box with some of Meg's Garden gorgeous collection 'Lavande'
and here is the result.

I have teamed it all with Megs ribbon, floral trim,  net, flowers and metal embellishment.
I then set about making a few cards to place in the box and eventually will give it away as a present.

Meg's Garden metal embellishments are so so versatile and easy to separate when needed.   For my 'love' and 'cherish'  card I split a metal flower to create an edge to my flower.  You can see it a bit better in the next shot.

I have also used my new die to do a beautiful flower from this 'Lavande' Collection.

Well thanks for joining me today on our little journey and I hope that you agree with me, that this will make a gorgeous present for someone and next time you are given a box, hang onto it and think how it can be reused with some of Meg's Garden Collection .
Until next time, happy creating.....regards Liz
