A Decorative Folio

Hello everyone & welcome
Today I would like to share with you a decorative folio that I have created. This would make a lovely gift and could be used for writing or drawing.

The outer cover is made from chipboard, and has been covered with patterned paper and pieces from  cut & create sheets which are available from Meg's Garden online store.

The cover has also been embellished with die cut shapes, ribbon, lace, cheesecloth, a button & metal charm, seed beads, paper flowers, self-adhesive pearls as well as punched out paper shapes. There is lots of paper distressing using a paper distressing tool. I have inked the edges of the patterned papers with distress ink called walnut stain & Inka Gold: Gold was used on the edges of the chipboard cover for a touch of elegance.

Inside the cover there is a tea-stained envelope that has been embellished with a paper doily, lace, die cut & punched out shapes as well as pieces from the cut & create sheets.

With some handmade paper ready for writing or drawing this whole bundle of paper can be easily removed or individual sheets can be removed one at a time.

A decorated card with a tuck & a tag sit happily inside the envelope.

The back cover of the folio.

I hope I have inspired you to give this project a go.

Until next time.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.

With Love

Hello everyone & welcome!

Today I would love to share a very pretty card made in some of my favorite colours of pink and green. These pretty papers are from the Vintage Journal Card series called Vintage flowers and the A4 watercolour papers which are available from Meg's Garden online store.
To create my card I first die cut an oval shape in the watercolour paper.
Next insert the Vintage flower card image behind the raised die cut oval shape. All papers have been inked in a soft shade of green.
To finish I added a cluster of paper roses, a stamped sentiment, an organza bow, a metal charm, a large self-adhesive pearl and a touch of glitter.

Until next time.
I hope you all have a wonderful & happy creating.

A tribute to our Fur Baby

Hello everyone,
Leanne here to present to you my latest project.
I have created a layout of our very much loved little Jack Russell dog called Jasmine. Jasmine sadly passed away on Saturday the 14th April, 2018 at the grand old age of 18 1/2 years old.
I have created my layout using Shades of green A4 sheet paper & Cut and create ephemera sheets. This simple & easy layout sits proudly on display in a 8"x10" gold frame.
My layout page has been embellished with lace, a metal charm, enamel dots (green), flowers & die-cut shapes & glimmer paste.

I have used the following metal dies:
Frames-stitched ovals die (p6551)
Wildflowers die (m3136)
I enjoy creating & I hope I have inspired you to take some time out to create & preserve those special memories.
Until next time.
Happy creating.

Art Journal Album

Hello everyone,
Leanne here to share my latest project an Art Journal Album. I have created this Album from scratch using Alchemy 101 patterned papers & black cardstock. I have kept this project fairly simple. Each page is also a large pocket allowing me to tuck away photos or art project pieces. My album measures 22 x 28.5cm. I have also left a couple of the pages blank, so I can add photos at a later date.

Until next time.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.

Cutting Of The Cake by Leanne

Hello everyone,
I would like to share with you today my latest creation, a single layout using the gorgeous patterned papers from " In the watercolour garden collection".
I chose this sheet from the range of patterned papers because the colours matched perfectly to that of my photo & the flowers are similar to the bridal bouquet.

I have added some extra details to my layout with some stamping & stencilled areas using texture paste.
Highlights of distress ink in shades of yellow & brown were added to the stamped & stencilled areas.
Shabby embossing enamel was applied to the metal charm & chipboard pieces.
I have embellished my layout with paper flowers, pearl trim, self-adhesive pearls, muslin & die cut & punched out leaves.

Please stop by Meg's Garden online store for all of your patterned paper & craft supplies.

Until next time.
Thanks for stopping by,
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.
