Butterfly Tag Album

Hi everyone, Adriana here today at Meg's Garden blog,
thanks for stopping by,
Today I have a project I created with the
new The Butterfly Mini Book papers / printables.
and all the embellishments are all from Meg's Garden
website.

I had this oversized tag/album in my possession
for such a long time, I thought I would create with this and
the papers from Meg's Garden.

These set of papers come with many pages
and for you to create many projects.

Here is my finished Large Tag/Album...

Set of over size Tag album..

This is what I started with

I covered each tag with the Papers

Front page - I made a layered butterfly with music
papers and butterfly image from the lovely papers.
Adding embellishments all from Meg's garden.
List of materials is at the end of this post.

Second Page - Adding a Calendar for 2015
This set of tags can stand up - so I think I will put this
on my desk. Lots of gorgeous flowers and washi tape
and german scrap lace to decorate tag. And
of course the butterflies from the
The Butterfly Mini Book papers.

Close up of second tag....

Third Tag - Made a pocket with the an envelope
and decorated on top of envelope
Made some tags with the wonderful Butterfly papers.

Fourth Tag - Using images and butterflies from
the Butterfly papers, adding some
flowers and diamonte trim
all from Meg's Garden.

Beautiful Butterfly tag/album.

Melancholy by Cathi O'Neill

Hello fellow crafters!! Cathi here again with a layout featuring the gorgeous Meg's Garden French Garden Collection.  I chose the beautiful Le Jardin paper from the collection to make my base, using some gorgeous cut outs from the cut and create paper.

For this layout I chose a modern photo of my gorgeous younger daughter Aisling! She hates to get her photo taken, so I find I scrap my elder daughter more for sheer numbers of photos I have. I wish Aisling would let me take her photo more, but this is often the face I get, or the back of her head as she runs away!! I still think she looks beautiful though, even with this sad face.

Above you can see the photo cluster set on a base of a 15cm Paper Doily, using the cut outs from the Cut and Create paper as layers as well. I have used the Extra Long Filigree Vintage Trinket, cut in half and placed in two areas on my layout. The gorgeous ribbon came from the Temptations in Green bundle that Meg offers! Here you can also see the Meg's Garden Paper Lilies and Pink and Cream Open Paper Roses.

This second flower cluster show the gorgeous butterfly I cut out from the A4 Butterflies Transparency. The butterfly is perched on the gorgeous Ivory Poppy and I again used the Extra Long Filigree Vintage Trinket and Pink and Cream Open Paper Roses.

For my background I used a mask and modeling paste to add texture then added mists for color and splatters. I added a script stamp to the background then finished it off with some stitching around the edges.

I love how the layout turned out and hope you enjoyed having a look, the French Garden papers are just stunning!!

Window Card by Sue Smyth

Megs Garden Window Card
by Sue Smyth

Hello Bloggers
Today I am sharing a window card featuring
Meg's Garden French Garden papers.

I have cut an ordinary card blank 14 x 14 cm and adhered
a panel of French Garden paper over top
of the card front. Then run the unfolded card
through a die cut machine with
an oval die,that suits.
It will cut a window from both the cardstock and patterned paper, and
as a bonus you will have ovals cut
from cardstock and patterned paper to use
on another project.

Cluster flowers to one side of the window, wrap around fibres
and tuck in some leaves.
I have also fussy cut the fountain from a second sheet of
paper, and attached with 3 D foam tape to the front of
the card.

Top Tip
Layer trinkets, if the trinket you have
doesn't seem enough or suit the place you
want to place it, consider layering it with another
like I have with the butterfly and bracket.

Adhere together with a good gel glue for a firm bond.

French Garden Canvas & Tag Set by Nicole Doiron

Hello everyone!

It's me, Nicole, and I'm back this month to share with you
some new projects created with Meg's Garden products.
I'm also sad to say that this will be my last post as Meg's Garden Designer.
I have enjoyed my stay with this amazing DT and am grateful to Meg for the opportunity.
Looking forward to come back and visit often! :)

This month, the DT is featuring once again the elegant and beautiful
The French Garden collection designed by  Denise Boddey.

As my first share today, I decided to create this very soft and chic canvas.

The first thing I did was fussy cut that beautiful bird cage off the "Caged Damask" paper.
I wanted it to be the focal point of my canvas.
I adorned it with a gold butterfly trinket that I dabbed with white paint.

Obviously I had to add lots of paper flowers to my canvas.
These large paper roses are my favorite.

I added texture to my canvas background by doing some fancy stenciling with molding paste.
I then used different shades of pink mists to add colour.

These pretty butterflies were fussy cut from a Transparencies Art Collage page.

Check out the end of my post for a complete list of products used

Aside from this canvas, I created a set of mini tags, also using The French Garden.

Let's take a closer look at each tag.

All these lovely vintage images are from the "Cut & Create" paper.

I was provided with many metal charms along with my DT pack,
including this adorable little air balloon.

And the last tag, possibly my favorite of the 3...

Thank you once again for joining me
and I hope that you were inspired by my creations.

Pyramid Card by Sue Smyth

Pyramid Card by
Sue Smyth

Hi Bloggers
Today I want to share with you one of my favourite
ways to make a card.
This is a pyramid card which I have adapted it to
cut out an oval window.

Then decorate the sides and front with
Megs's Garden papers, flowers, Trinkets and ribbons

I  have altered the butterfly trinket by
coating it in embossing solution and sprinkle
with aged rose powder. Heat to melt
but be careful do not pick it up
straight away as it will be hot!

Step 1
Cut 3 12 x 12 cm squares and fold down the diagonal.
You can make this card any size, it does not
have to be 12 x 12 cm just has to be a square

Step 2
Layer one square over the other and adhere in place.

Step 3
Line up oval die on the front panel
(this is the panels that overlap each other) and die cut.
this will just fit through a Cuttlebug or use a Bigshot for a better fit.
Or you can just make your squares smaller at 11 x 11 cm

Step 4
Fold along your previously folded diagonal lines.

Step 5
Adhere third square along side front panel.

Step 6
And overlap two panels at the back,
adhere in place.

Use the sides to make a template to trim
out patterned paper to a slightly smaller size. Then
decorate as desired.
