Journal Tags

Have been neglecting the blog this month - not good at all. My only excuse is that I have been busy loading all of Denise Ann's fabulous new Couture Collection of papers onto the websites - there are 12 papers in shades of pinks, apricots & greens along with 2 cardmakers packs. The papers are at the printer & I am hoping they will be ready by the weekend so that I can play.
There are also 2 other new Cardmakers packs - The Ann Rose & The French Bird Houses.

Remember the Magical Fairy Dust

 Pic #1 shows a manila tag used on a pale pink cardstock background with an overlay of 1 of the papers from the French Garden papers & a 'remember tag'. The manila tag is embellished with lace, pearls, ribbons & an open pink & white paper flower. The remember tag is distressed & embellished with 1 of the images from the Fairyland paper; a pin of jewels is added with a pink tassel & ribbon as well as a bottle (size#1) with glitter to represent the magical fairy dust. Distress ink used Victorian Velvet.

There are several sizes & shapes in the glass bottle collection on the web site under the category 'Embellish It!'. There make an unique embellishment - add sand, gold flitter, a rolled message, a lock of hair & more ....

Discover

Pic #2 shows a manila tag distressed with Frayed Burlap, embellished with ribbons, an off white open paper rose & 2 copper leaves - both of these also distressed with frayed burlap. A pin of jewels is added to the 'Discover tag' which is lightly distressed & is mounted on a scrap of matching paper. The phrase of 'Live in the Moment' is torn & distressed & a clock charm added to finish the project.

Pic #3 uses lilac cardstock with a piece of the Garden of Blue Flowers embellished with double sided lavender ribbon & pearls with an open lavender & cream open flower rose. The Love tag is emebellished with 1 of the images from ATC#035 Vintage French Couples. Distress ink is lavender.

All elements in the above pics are foam mounted.
The next projects will be using the new Couture Collection

Working with the Journal Tags

As promised, some ideas for the Journal Tags:
For the first 2 pics, I printed the file using A5 print size - this allows the tag to be an embellishment rather than a feature in the project. Both pics #1 & #2 are using the same 'Remember' tag - it has been mounted on Lilac cardstock & distressed with Milled Lavender & a touch of some Frayed Burlap to add depth. The Garden of Blue Flowers Paper Collection has been used for both. These pics show that the Tags can be used for a card or on a scrapbook page with a photograph.

The third pic shows 1 of the tags being used at A4 print size. The background paper is a Travel/Memories paper in a beautiful blue. Further embellishments could be added.  This time the tag is not mounted but is simply distressed with Frayed Burlap - you could even print the tags onto your colour choice of cardstock.  All elements in the 3 pics are foam mounted.
