LAVANDE 'SHAMPOO' BOX OF CARDS

Hello Bloggers,

Thanks for joining me today.  I wanted to share with you this lovely collection.

My sister had recently bought me some special hair shampoo and conditioner.  It came in this box and true to form with me, I never throw anything away that can be recycled in some shape or form.

Firstly, I set about decorating the box with some of Meg's Garden gorgeous collection 'Lavande'
and here is the result.

I have teamed it all with Megs ribbon, floral trim,  net, flowers and metal embellishment.
I then set about making a few cards to place in the box and eventually will give it away as a present.

Meg's Garden metal embellishments are so so versatile and easy to separate when needed.   For my 'love' and 'cherish'  card I split a metal flower to create an edge to my flower.  You can see it a bit better in the next shot.

I have also used my new die to do a beautiful flower from this 'Lavande' Collection.

Well thanks for joining me today on our little journey and I hope that you agree with me, that this will make a gorgeous present for someone and next time you are given a box, hang onto it and think how it can be reused with some of Meg's Garden Collection .
Until next time, happy creating.....regards Liz

Lavende Album with Wire Binding System - Barbara Lindsey DT Member

Album Using Wire Binding System

This album has been created with the latest paper collection from the Meg’s Garden Range. The collection is called “Lavende.”

I have long coveted the Cinch Binding Machine by We r memory keepers and was lucky enough to be offered the loan of one recently.  This is my very first album using this binding system and I have learned that you can’t be frugal with the binding wire size.  I thought a 1 1/4″ binding wire would be sufficient for my needs but I really could have gone with a larger size. I didn’t realise this until I started to embellish my album. So I have learned quite a lot about binding with the Cinch.
front-of-lavende-album.jpg
The Front cover of this album is embellished with papers from the  Lavende collection, I fashioned the scrolls from seperate sheets of the paper and adhered them to the first layer. The papers in the Lavende collection come in various sizes, I chose the book papers to make my album. These come on an 8″ x 11″ sheet and each sheet contains two book pages measuring 5″ x 7″.  So that is the size that I made my album. The front covers are made from 12″ x 12″ medium weight bookboard which I cut to size.
This album was so easy to decorate, using the cut apart sheets that come with the collection, once I had chosen the pages I would use.  All of the detail comes from the collection itself.  I used some La Blanche stamps (also available from Meg’s Garden) to add interest to the pages.
I made tiny pockets by fussy cutting some pieces, as in the bowl of lavender above. My lady in the hat sits nicely behind the flowerpot and doesn’t move when I turn the pages.  N.B. if you want to do this, always use a wet glue to adhere the pocket piece leaving room for your photo to slot in behind it. Double sided tape will not work in the same way and you will find things move about and fall out with that method.
I added some pages of varying sizes in vellum and window sheet  I also used some die cuts from my own stash .

And I couldn’t leave out these gentlemen from the Gentleman’s Ephemera cut aparts. The clock is another of the La Blanche stamps.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Lavande Range

Hello Mary here today to share a layout created with the Lavande Range.
I have scrapped a photo of my Husbands Parents Wedding Day and I thought this range was a perfect fit.

I fussy cut the flower so the photo fits down behind the flower. The book is fussy cut from a cut and create sheet and I have added narrow cream ribbon and a bead as a book mark. Along the bottom of my photo I have added the gorgeous flower edged organza and anchored it with a diamante flower.

with the extra 4 x 12 strip that comes with the 12 x 12 papers I have once again fussy cut the flower from the strip and placed in the opposite top corner of the page to create balance, I raised it with foam squares.  Behind the flower I have used Mauve mesh ribbon and lace and then  placed the satin edged cream ribbon, draping across the top of the photo and again added the flower diamante . I punched some hearts from the strip also to place down the side of my photo as there was quite a lot of uninteresting space. I also punched a decrotive edge from the strip and placed at the side of the photo.

Thank you for calling by today , I encourage you to pop over to Megs Store , so much gorgeous products to inspire.
Happy Creating

Darling Live Your Best ~ Lavande Range

Hello Mary here to share another layout using the new Lavande Range.

Darling Live Your Best

How pretty is this Paper ! My last layout was quite clean and simple , because honestly these papers are so beautiful I don't like to cover them too much. But this time I resisted and decided to go a little OTT , just to show not to be scared to get a little arty with the papers if you choose.

with the 12 x 12 papers you also receive 4" x 12" strips. I used one of these strips cut down to mat my photo under the black cardstock (you can just see some pattern around the edge )

I have added pieces of  mauve mesh  around my photo at certain places to add a bit of colour and softness. I used the fancy round frame to highlight my title and I tied the soft mauve sheer ribbon around it and then weaved it through the flower cluster. All these products can be found at Megs Store,
From my stash added paint drips, texture paste through a stencil, water paints  and a little stamping to the page .The chipboard "darling" is from A2Z Scraplets.
If you pop over to Megs Store you can view the whole Lavande Range by clicking on the YouTube Link
I hope I have inspired you to take a look at what is available In the Lavande Range , as it is so beautiful to create with.
Until next time
Happy Creating

Forever Friends - Brenda Caldow

Hello and welcome to Meg's Garden and my post using the very beautiful Lavende range. These are super stunning pages and I have enjoyed working with them so much. The first of my creations was this page of my wonderful friend Eleanor and these papers are perfectly suited to her as she loves working in the garden.
When you go to the link above an click on this beautiful lavender picture you will get to see the full range of papers and they are so beautiful. Now for my page -

I loved making this page because the papers were perfect for fussy cutting my embellishments from.
The only extra things I have used are Distress Ink and my rubon title.

The other thing I used other than the patterned papers is the Mesh Ribbon Lavender. I used a doily die so I could use the patterned papers. I really do love making a page and utilizing the papers so much, especially when they are so beautiful.

I hope you have enjoyed popping into Megs Garden and having a look at my page and how wonderful these papers are to fussy cut with.

Happy crafting and remember you are able to get these wonderful papers and many others along with all the embellishments you could possibly need.

Dream Layout

Hello friends of Meg's Garden! Today I am sharing a layout with you that features papers from the brand new collection from Meg's Garden named Lavande. It's vintage and beautiful.

To frame my photos, I used beautiful flowers from Meg's Garden along with some chippies from my stash. I altered all of the chipboard pieces by stamping them with Versamark ink and heat setting them with white embossing powder.

I love this little bird cage with the birds! I used white gesso as a base coat before I coloured the pieces in with Prima oil pastels. To add a vintage touch, I stamped a script stamp over my bird cage and title.

Supplies from Meg's Garden
Paper: Megs Garden Lavande
Lace, flowers, pearls
