Loving the French Roses collection

Hello everyone,

I have created two pretty feminine cards to share with you today.
These stunning papers are from the French Roses collection which are now available from Meg's Garden online store.
For my first card I chose this background paper with its soft pastel tones of pinks & mauve. I then added a romantic image from a cut & create sheet. Keeping with soft pinks and a touch of cream I embellished my card with lace, ribbon and a pink flower.
Simple layering, some distressing & inking, embellishments and my card was created.

For my second card I have matted this lovely image onto layers of coloured card stock. These colours complement this image making it stand out. I then adhered this to the background paper. I distressed and inked all papers using Tea Dye distress ink giving that vintage look to my card creations.
Embellishments of lace, ribbon, a pink paper rose, a leaf, rhinestones and glitter glue were added to finish this card.
Two simple elegant cards that I know your family & friends would love to receive.

Until next time.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.

Your Biggest Fan

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying Meg's new collection, French Roses. My card today features two beautiful images from the Cut & Create pages included within the collection.

With lace a printed layering feature over the young lady image, I used lace from Meg's shop, gathered, and placed around the Cut & Create fan, adding texture and making an embellishment that coordinates and compliments at the same time.
Wanting to keep her mystique, I placed the fan slightly over her face, almost as if she were holding it.

I kept the background simple, using another paper from the French Roses collection.
From a border die,I cut several edges and overlapped them creating a different style border again, to accentuate and frame the lovely lady image.

Peal bling, and a fabric flower finish the card off, making it perfect for any occasion and recipient. The beautiful colouring that features in French Roses makes it easy to coordinate suitable embellishments and enhance the imagery.

Have fun creating, there's always something new in Meg's Garden to inspire you!

Pretty Petals

Hi Everyone,

Julia back with you today, sharing another of my cards using Meg's new collection French Roses

As I loved this particular design in the collection too much to cover it or make it heavy with embellishments, I kept things simple - and made the paper not only the background detail, but the embellishment too.

After cutting the paper to card size, I chose three individual petals from the print and cut around them, enough that they sat up on their own, but leaving sufficient still intact.

I inked the card under each petal before adhering, for the colour to show from under the raised petal, I also added glitter over the ink for extra sparkle!

Keeping the sentiments simple yet touching, I finished with bling and one of my favourites from Meg's Spring Flowers collection, a vellum butterfly, ready to take off from the card.

I had a lot of fun creating this card, something different yet simple - making the stunning paper design really stand out.

Julia

Heartfelt Wishes

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a card which features dies and stamps. I love the detail in the Altenew stamps and in particular one of my favourites is the Vintage Roses set. I have made a few cards in the past using this set and I manage to find new ways to showcase the stamped flowers in a configuration that I am pleased with.

My first layer is a complimentary pink cardstock followed by Spellbinders die cut which is adhered with foam tape. A pink oval followed by a white oval and then the two fishtail flags are layered on top. I adhered the ovals with foam tape, as well as the leaves to add dimension and depth to my card. Finally I added the flowers and some sequins to complete.

Wedding and family albums (Part 2)

Hello, everyone!

Veronika here to share another part of my wedding and family albums with Spring Flowers Paper Collection from Meg's Garden . These albums are very "rich", because I used for them a lot of rhinestones.
Almost all my covers were made with suede and fabric and all the bookends inside are from the Spring Flowers Papers.

Pocket of Roses

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Let's kick start our creativity for 2019 with Meg's new collection French Roses. I have designed a pocket card with concertina sides, inside holding a coordinating greeting card.. and yes, something else naughty!

The Cut & Create images with this collection are stunning, and feature both on the pocket and greeting cards. I have also embellished with ribbons and paper leaves from
Meg's shop and used pearl brads for the closure.

As the final touch to the pocket, I included a fitting message from the Cut & Create pages, a perfect reminder to us all - you are beautiful, inside and out!

I look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations using Meg's new collection

Decorative door hanger

Hello everyone & welcome!

Today I would love to share with you a project I created for Meg's Garden Blog.
A decorative door hanger using A4 watercolour paper and the Vintage Journal cards series: called Vintage flowers.

I so love this pretty image and the delicate shades of pink.
My hanger was created from scratch. Firstly I traced around a door hanger shape onto stiff cardboard & cut
out. I traced this shape onto the A4 watercolour paper.  This was then cut out & inked in a soft brown shade before being adhered onto the cardboard door hanger shape.
Layers of lace, tulle and die cut shapes were added. A cluster of pink roses & rose buds and leaves adorn the corner of the image. To finish I added some glitter glue & pearls. A gorgeous project to create. My door hanger now sits on a cupboard door in my craft.
Stop by Meg's Garden online store for all of these goodies and create your very own unique door hanger.

Until next time.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.

The French Roses Collection...cards

Hello everyone,
Wishing you all a Happy & Creative New Year.

What a lovely way to start the New Year than with this gorgeous new paper collection called French Roses. This very pretty feminine shabby chic paper set is A4 in size with 12 background sheets and 6 cut & create image sheets. Just perfect for any paper crafter.
I have created two simple cards with lots of layers.
My first card I thought would make a lovely sympathy card.
I have distressed & inked my background paper before adding to my card blank. Next I cut out, then distressed & inked these beautiful images & wording from the cut & create sheets. Each of the images & wording were fixed in place using 3D foam tape.
I added touches of stickles glitter glue to each of the images.

For my next card I have torn, then inked the background papers before adhering in place. I love these images, they are so pretty and compliment each other well.
I added lace, a pink satin bow, rhinestones, and glitter glue to finish.
Both of these cards were quick and easy to create. Be sure to stop by Meg's Garden online store for these pretty paper & so much more.

Until next time.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.

Spiral Note Book ...I've got you covered

Hello everyone and welcome,

Today I would love to share a Meg's Garden post with you.
I have decorated the cover of a spiral note book using A4 watercolour paper and this lovely image from the vintage ladies journal card series.

I have distressed and inked the papers. A paper doily and a gold metal charm were added to the top right hand corner.
Hand dyed lace and nylon lace were added. Plus a cluster of paper flowers and leaves.
To finish I added some self-adhesive pearls and glitter glue. This was a quick and easy project and such a lovely way to decorate a plain note pad.
Stop by Meg's Garden online store for all of your pretty papers and supplies.

Until next time.
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.
