Hello Bloggers:
'Hi everyone, Jen here today sharing my latest project for
Meg's Garden. I got the pleasure of creating with the new Art papers this time
round and I instantly fell in love with them. I wanted to create something
pretty special and unique with them so decided to add the microscope art pieces
available in Meg's store onto my order. I had never seen anything like the
microscope art before and couldn't wait to play with it. When I saw the glass
slides and beautiful images I was in my element.
I used the Art papers as a cover for the little album and
used a mask and texture paste to create some depth. I painted the texture
paste with Inka gold in Platinum and Apricot then inked round the edges
with distress ink in Tea Dye. I added a chipboard frame
as a title. I inked the frame using more Tea Dye
ink and then added some Crackle Accents to give it an aged effect .
On the inside page I again used the beautiful Art papers. I
layered them with coffee dyed medical gauze and added some lace. The beautiful
heart doily is available in the Meg's Garden store and I just misted it with
some spray. I also hand embroidered the edges to add some interest & stamp.
Now onto the glass slide page. Aren't these just amazing? I
used 2 different masks with texture paste round the edges and again
painted it with the Gold as above. I inked all the edges of the
images with the Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink and glued everything in. I trimmed the
edges with some lace and finished off with 2 wooden frames.
The micro scope art comes in a pack of different size little
albums. I can't wait to create another one and share it with you. Jen xx'
