LIVE YOUR DREAMS ~ WATERCOLOUR IN BLUES

Hello Mary back again and again I got distracted by pretty, so once again the masculine tags have been put on hold , just for now.
Love this Watercolour in Blues Range , it is so versatile and perfect for documenting my Grand Daughters Dance photos.

Live Your Dreams

I have used the Watercolour in Blues 02 Pattern Paper and fussy cut the butterflies from the Cut and Create in the range.

Treasure the Moment is also from the Cut and Create sheet , I added a strip of white lace diagonally and in the same lace made a bow and placed on top and then placed the strip of pearls .

Lombart Paris is from the cut and create sheet

The flower I fussy cut from the Cut and Create sheet and have it falling from the page.  I have used a stencil and texture paste and added some mauve shading ,stamping ,  music notes washi tape . Behind my photo I added a punched border from cardstock and some tissue paper ,otherwise all other embellishments can be found in Megs shop.
Until Next time
Happy Creating

Shadow Box, Card and Tag by Brenda Caldow

Hello Brenda here with you today and I would like to welcome you to the Megs Garden Blog and my latest post using the Vintage Journal A4 patterned papers.
This time I have created a shadow box, card and tag. As most of you have worked out by now I love to fussy cut and Megs patterned papers are always great for this, I love working with them.
My first to show you is the Shadow box.

The beautiful white rose, butterflies and verse have all been fussy cut from the patterned papers. The larger flower in the corner is a beautiful white Rue and they come in pkts of 5. The other flowers are ones that you will see on a lot of my work, I love them, they are the Green Tara pkts of 11 flowers in varying sizes. The ones on my shadow boy I chose to use the black and white packet.

Next is my Card

For the patterned paper I distressed the edge and then used lightly some black ink on the edge. My Happy Birthday is a die and the car and gentleman have been fussy cut from the papers.

Now for my tag still using the same papers.

On the background patterned paper I used a Tim Holtz Stencil - Stripes with a little Distress Ink - Forest Moss mixed in it. My bottom is a Wooden Flourish Fancy Boarder which I have coloured with a Copic - Moss.

Again my fussy cutting with the verse, butterfly and beautiful pink rose. There is so much you can create when fussy cutting from these papers. Both on the card and tag I have raised the flower, car, gentleman and butterfly with dimensions.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my post and that I have inspired you in some way to get creative with these stunning products and papers. Maybe you could create some similar for Christmas which is just around the corner. There are some wonderful Christmas papers at the Megs Garden store that would be awesome to fussy cut with just the same as you can do with these ones. These Vintage Journal papers would make some wonderful gifts also just like I have made.
Happy Crafting xxx

Oh So Romantic ~ Vintage Journal Range

Hello Mary here to share a Romantic layout with you. I have to say when I sat down to create I had the intentions of doing some Masculine tags , but whilst shuffling among the papers I came to the beautiful, soft, romantic Vintage Journal 05 paper and I just adore it, so the tags went on hold for now.

How beautiful is this paper !
I kept my layout quite clean and simple, as the paper I feel is just perfect .

From this day forward

I fussy cut the corner of the book image, so as to slot my photo behind it.

To mat my photo I have cut a corner from one of the large Doilies from Megs shop  and on the other side a lovely piece of lace from the shop
Top corner of my photo two organza flowers , a diamante   ,pearl trim and have added a narrow satin ribbon , that flows across my page and down to attach to the gorgeous vintage key and lock

With the 4 x12 strip of PP that comes with the 12 x12 , I punched out a couple of layered flowers and added to the layout.
Everything I have used on my layout besides some old rubons  and the silver hearts from my stash ,is from Megs Store

Thank you for calling by, I recommend you visit Megs Store for gorgeous papers and embellishments and to browse the blog for inspiration from the girls on the DT , you won't be disappointed .
Until next time
Happy Creating

Wedding Cake Book by Meredith Hilly

Hello everyone.
This project is very special to me as my daughter is getting married very soon and I wanted to preserve all the moments of the day. As soon as I saw Megs papers I knew that this was the perfect collection to do it with.
I wanted the book to look like a wedding cake so I made four sized books and attached them together.

Each layer I decorated on the cover I was trying to make the paper good enough to eat. The colour range used and the hessian match what we will be using at the wedding.

The flowers and the gold wedding embellishment where perfect.

This is the inside cover of the first book.

I made it so it fits a 6x4 photo.

This is the back cover of the smallest book. I just love the rose petals and pearls.

This is the inside of the second book As you can see from the invitations the colours and flowers compliment each other.
I did a collage on one side with a book and 3D box on the other side.

For the pages in this book I used the "vintage journal" collection.

Using 3D foam I made a collage. The pictures represent the past , present and future for the soon to be married couple.

This is the third book inside cover. I used a strip of tassels to create a holding strap  for a smaller envelope book.

This is the envelope book ready for pressed flowers from the wedding day.

Megs dollies are the perfect choice to make pages elegant. Especially when there are lace love hearts to use.

I fussy cut from the "ephemera packs" of paper all these wonderful pictures and placed them throughout the album.

This paper range has so much available to create with. I look forward to completing and sharing the forth book when I have lots of photos and memorabilia to add to it.
Thanks for having a look.

VINTAGE JOURNAL PAPERS PAPERCRAFTER AND ROSE QUARTZ

Good afternoon Bloggers, Liz here today.

I hope you have been enjoying the new collection from Meg's Garden, 'Vintage Journal' and today I am sharing with you my Journal.  You will see that it is still a 'work in progress', but could not wait to share ideas with you all.

VINTAGE JOURNAL

My journal was so easy to put together, just add some little embellishments and die cuts and off you go.

I made this little keyhole with some shrink wrap I was playing around with and so suited the papers.

And a little heat embossing on my die cut suited the men in the picture.

Another page ready to go.

I will be cutting some cardstock to insert in between these pages so I can add the photos.  Once it is
complete I will add the hinges and brads and it will be complete.

ROSE QUARTZ SYMPATHY CARDS

I recently created a tin of cards for a 70th birthday and to include in the 'stash' I used some Rose Quartz papers to create 3 cards.

This is such a beautiful collection and can be used in many ways to create an array of beautiful cards.
I hope you have enjoyed todays journey and be sure to check out more of Meg's Garden Collection
Thanks for taking the time to look and until next time happy creating.   Liz
