A COLLECTION of CARDS

COLLECTION of CARDS

WELCOME

I do enjoy making cards as it is so lovely to give
& receive beautifully handcrafted cards
so precious...
I loved the new Vintage Journal Card papers from
MEG'S GARDEN
to design with
these images of the flappers era really appeal to me
as it is my favourite
I chose to leave these  5x7 inch cards in a simple format
to enhance the matted images

frayed muslin, a beaded tassle, lace ribbon & a matching rose to highlight

double matted image, lace, chiffon flowers, ribbon & bling

double matted image, tied ribbon, feathers & flowers with a tangle of thread to complete

Now for the more masculine cards
we all manage to create feminine cards when it comes to a design for the men in our lives we tend to take a big deep breath & shudder at the thought
I hope these help to inspire
Fussy cut around the gentleman with a top hat & leaned him on the 'Celebrate' ticket, a few cogs, mesh ribbon & a tied knot of string
corrugated cardboard is always handy to have
adding a few metal & wooden cogs & again string in a reef knot to finish

corrugated cardboard, tied ribbon, arrows, photo corner &
a metal embellishment bring this card together
I hope these cards have inspired you to create
Whilst your here wander through the blog posts &
see the gorgeousness the GARDEN GIRLS have created
Thanks for visiting

Create our tomorrows

Hello everyone & welcome,
Today I have a very feminine vintage style junk journal that I would like to share with you.
I have created my journal using these beautiful feminine images from the Vintage Journal Cards- mixed series which are available from Meg's Garden online store.

My inspiration for my cover came from the colours plus the fine detail provided by this gorgeous image. I have embellished the cover with lots of lace, flowers, a metal charm, word images, corrugated cardboard, seed beads and pearls.

Inside the journal each page is a little bit different. I have created lots of pockets & tucks throughout.
There are places for writing.
I have added lots of tags.
Places for photos.
Fussy cut images are scatter throughout.
Lots of pretty laces embellish my pages.
Inking, distressing and torn pages.

There is even a place to add your very own photo.
I have also decorated the back cover with some lace, a paper doily, ribbon, pearls & images from Meg's Garden. The journal cover and pages are held together with seam binding. Lace is used to tie the journal together as a closure. I am very pleased how this feminine journal has turned out. Stop by Meg's Garden online store for products used to create this project.

Until next time.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
I hope you have a wonderful day & happy creating.

TAGS and POCKETS

Hi everyone,

I've been making some more tags with the ART TAG download. This time I gave some pocket tags ago.

With these tags I've just added a pocket to the lower section of the tag. I've also cut down some of the tags to make smaller tags that fit inside the pockets. The labels have been set with an eyelet and threaded on ribbon and tied with a bow....Don't those labels make the best dangles!

To finish the tags off I've just attached them to some kraft cardstock and trimmed.

Till next time HAPPY CRAFTING
