Part 2...Vintage Junk Journal

Hello everyone & welcome.
Take a wander through the 2nd part of my signature. Papers & embellishments are available from Meg's Garden online store.
Throughout this journal I have used pieces of ephemera that have been taken from the cut & create sheets. Ephemera can be used in so many different ways, such as to decorate a page or create a tag, a pocket, a tuck spot or to embellish the cover of a book or journal.

Here I have made a tuck spot with some stamping & on the other page I have created a pocket using patterned paper that has been decorated with lace and a handmade tag with ephemera pieces.

I have created a belly band that has been decorated with lace then sewn in place.

Pockets & tucks. On the other page I have used an envelope to create a pocket that has then been  decorated with ephemera pieces.

I have stitched in place a hand dyed & stamped vellum pocket plus a decorated tag.

DELIGHTS IN GREY and WHITE

Hello there, Annette here today sharing a set of three cards

I have used older papers & new from MEG'S GARDEN 

It is lovely to receive handmade cards and I hope these inspire you to create

SILVER BOW & DANDELIONS

The floral background paper is from my stash of Meg's Garden papers

with grey cardstock, the dandelion image is from a set of journalling tags,

the double bow is made with sheer ribbon which is silver on one side & gold on the other very effective.

POPPIES & LACE

Background is grey cardstock on which I adhered the torn mulberry paper

the image is mounted on the same grey glued down over the strip of lace

sheer ribbon with silver grey edges is looped, a large grey rose, white rose & rosebuds finishes floral spray, all tipped with white gesso.

WHITE POPPIES & PEARLS

Grey cardstock, silver foil card then grey card in layers forms the base of this card

two strips of wide cotton lace, then strip of paper with cut 'v' the image has pearl centres 

and some dimensional magic on edge of petals, 

a row of silver circlets centred with pearls to finish

MASCULINE CARDS

Hello visitors 

Welcome to Megs Garden

Annette here sharing with you my set of  masculine cards 

created with 

Vintage Junk Journal with Keys
and have used older products from Meg.
It is great sometimes to shuffle through what you have to design.
Many find masculine cards a challenge so these may inspire you
BOYS OWN

I crumpled and inked my papers, the image, ribbon, brads and fussy cut the typewriter

PEN AND INK

a script paper as background,frayed hessian, corrugated card,tied ribbon.
the image is mounted on Kraft cardstock, postmark is fussy cut
 I then added a brass nib tied with string.

LOCK AND KEYS

mounted image on Kraft cardstock, brads, corrugated card,
frayed hessian tied with knotted string added post mark and keyhole.

DIRECTIONAL TIME

frayed hessian, ribbon, mounted image, brass clock with string ties,
the compass has a brad in the centre.

Today I decided to use a Kaisercraft box that the tiny wooden

quotes and shapes come in

I firstly painted it white then line with Megs Shabby Chic violets paper

added a flower and ribbon

Inked the quotes and added some gems

not wanting to wait I found a couple of leftover 6x6 papers from an older collection

so I doubled it over and made one

 I added some trinkets and distressed them

For my first card I used a very old embossing folder

that was free in a magazine,which I inked he embossed

added a cut and create image for an easy card

 my red card is made with assorted dies,embossing folders and lace along with the lovely
