They are absolutely perfect for quick & easy projects; they make a very beautiful or fabulous grunge or vintage art piece & can be used to stand up & display themselves.

Why are they so perfect? 

Because Meg’s Garden mini book/junk journal is already made. There is 1 long piece of paper scored for 6 pages; the paper is 180 gsm so it can take as many embellishments as you want & the 2 covers are very sturdy 2mm thick card & just need to be glued or attached to pages 1& 6.  No fussy spine, cover, attaching to worry about. And they make wonderful gifts.

They are also great for using up:

·        those fabulous  scraps of patterned papers in your stash

·        some ribbons, laces, loose leftover flowers & leaves

·        ephemera, jutes & more

·        just decide the style & colours

Here comes Santa a Vintage Christmas Junk Journal

Hello everyone & welcome,

I have a Vintage Christmas Junk Journal that I would like to share with you today. I have created my journal using the latest decorative Christmas papers from Meg's Garden online store.

The papers I have chosen are Elegant Damask Christmas cut & create ephemera sheets, Elegant Damask Christmas A4 background papers & Elegant Damask Christmas Vintage journal cards. I chose as many images of Santa as I could to embellish this cute little journal.

The front cover measures 4" x 5 ¾ inches and there are 6 pages. 

There are lots of pockets and tucks throughout this little book. Plus some hand made decorated tags and a few pieces of ephemera.

Each of the pages plus the cover has stitching and they have also been inked using walnut stain distress ink. There are touches of Inka gold scattered throughout the pages plus hand dyed lace and many fussy cut pieces adorning the pages, pockets & tags.

I have also embellished with some paper die cut & punched out pieces which are featured here and there throughout this journal.

There is also a belly band or two, doily's & trims plus lots and lots of glitter. One can never have too much glitter at Christmas!

Pockets are included in the front & back covers.

This little journal is held together with red organza ribbon that has been threaded through two gold eyelets. A special little journal to store lots of Christmas treasures be it just a memory or two.

Making a List...

Hello everyone & welcome,

Today I would like to share with you a project that I have created as a quick & easy gift to make for Christmas. It is a writing pad & pen folder.

I have used the new designer papers from Meg's Garden called Elegant Damask Christmas A4 papers & the Vintage Christmas journal cards.
I have embellished the cover with corrugated cardboard, fussy cut pieces, die cut pieces, cheesecloth, sequins, gold paint, gesso and flowers, which I have embellished with German glitter glass.
The cover is made from a recycled biscuit box that has been covered with patterned paper. Seam binding has been used as a closure.

The back cover is decorated with some fussy cut paper pieces.

Inside is a writing pad which can be easily replaced when completed as the cardboard cover of the writing pad slides neatly into a pocket.

There is also two decorated pockets with tags & the centre panel is a pen holder. This is a neat little writing pad holder now complete & ready for you to create your special Christmas list.

A Christmas card just for YOU

Today I would like to share with you a Christmas card that I have created using the latest paper collection from Meg's Garden called Elegant Damask Christmas.

A selection of items that I have used to create my card. Papers are from the Elegant Damask Christmas Vintage Journal cards & Elegant Damask Christmas A4 papers, plus bits & bobs from my crafty stash.

Here is my finished card. Lots of layers, a little touch of glitter, some hand dyed lace & cheesecloth and inked edges are added to create that vintage look.

I just love this beautiful image of Santa.
