A Paper Bag Clutch & Journal

Hello everyone & welcome

Today I would love to share another project I have created using a recycled paper bag & the Pink & Green paper collection, available from Meg's Garden online store.
This paper collection is very feminine, so what better then to create every woman's favourite fashion accessory; a clutch bag.

To create my clutch, I first trimmed a sheet of patterned paper to the same size as my paper bag. Next I distressed the edges of the paper with a distressing tool. I then added some Tea Dye ink before adhering this piece to the paper bag.

The closure & front of the paper bag contains magnets while the metal charm decorative cluster that adorns the closure can be easily removed. This allows the journal to open and lay flat.

The decorative cluster.

My pages are decorated with images from the cut & create sheets, which is part of the Pink & Green paper collection.

Until next time.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
I hope you have a wonderful day & happy creating.

Two Little Fairy Books

Hello Paper Artists

While I was making my very fat Journal using the Pink & Green Journal Paper Collection, I realized that the papers had an imaginative Fairy feel to them.
So I pulled out another set - this time the 5x7" size & separated them into Pinks & Greens.  I had put together a Fairies & Their Poetry Collection of png images. I printed one paper out on white paper & it did not give me the 'fairy effect' I was looking for. Aha!!  Vellum was the perfect answer!! The black images on the translucent vellum were perfectThese are the 6 Fairy Papers -either printed or digital:

So I pulled out laces, ribbons, glitter, flowers, 2 little glass bottles for fairy dust & started.

Hope you enjoy the little books - I tried to make them totally different to give you more ideas

Bye for now

Vintage Simplicity

Another new Meg's Garden collection, and oh so much inspiration!

Today I am sharing three cards made from the Vintage Journal Collection, using the incredibly detailed papers and Cut & Create images.

When designing cards, I always look for coordination and colours to guide my creation.

This is made so much more pleasurable using Meg's Garden papers. For my three cards, I took inspiration from the images already printed and made them "pop" off the page using the same imagery from the Cut & Create sheets.

Placing the Cut & Create images slightly off centre, I layered each with a variety of elements - muslin, ribbons and metal embellishments..all available from Meg's Garden.
And all add to the Vintage feel.

For another textural and decorative layer, I embossed the ever versatile Art Tags from a previous collection, still coordinating perfectly. The more layers, the more detail, the more I enjoy creating with Meg's papers.

As finishing touches, I distressed and inked over raised edges. Tassels finish off each card for an element of interaction, and because everyone loves tassels!

Enjoy Meg's Garden new collection, Vintage Journal. Perfect for all your papercraft needs.
