Burgundy with Cream Christmas Tag

Hello, everyone!

It's Nancy here with a fun new project to share with you!

This is my first project using the newly released Christmas Collection:

 Burgundy with Cream

It's a beautiful Collection full of goodness!
The creative possibilities are endless!

For my first project I have created a tag:

I began with a red cardstock tag base.
I punched along the bottom edge with a decorative border punch.
To pull out the bits of gold included in the collection,
I also punched along the bottom edge of the foiled paper.

I chose one of the beautiful Burgundy with Cream Papers,
and added that in place on top of the Foiled Paper layer.
Then I fussy cut several of the elements from
the Burgundy with Cream Cut and Create Pages.
I had fun positioning them in place.
I added some pretty gold ribbon to the top of the tag.

I also added a small gold bow to the berry stem.
Finally, I added some extra sparkle with Stickles.

Summer Garden Tag

    Hello, friends!

It's Nancy back with another fun project to share with you!

This time I've made a pretty tag, using items from the

Summer Garden Cut and Create Ephemera Papers.

The Summer Garden Collection is so pretty!

Here's my tag:

I began with a piece of green cardstock that measures 4 1/4" x 8 1/2".
I distressed the edges with a distressing tool
Then I went through the ephemera pages,
and fussy cut all the rose and pink pieces.
Then it was just a matter of playing and positioning them all.

Some bits were distressed with ink, or the distress tool, or both.
Some were adhered flat, and others were adhered with foam tape.
A couple of the corners were curled up and inked.
It all adds such lovely dimension to my tag.

To finish it all off, I added a few pink flower sequins,
and a pretty double looped sheer ribbon bow.

The strip in the photo below, that says:
"A LOVELY ROSE. ROMANCE."
is what inspired my tag.
I think it's a lovely assortment of bits!

Gift Boxes

From the Pink & Green collection, I have created a collection of gift boxes, perfect for every occasion.

Pillow box

Using one paper design from Meg's Garden Pink & Green collection, as well as Cut & Create images, I constructed this elegant box. Something uniquely different!
A delicate sentiment tag and handmade bows in two sizes finishes the gift pillow box.
Simple, but beautiful.

Gift Card Box

Taking inspiration from the Cut & Create sheets and ephemera within the collection, I fussy cut my desired images for this small box. I placed the images onto beautiful tags, with lace wrapped around the box. Embellished with paper flowers, bows and ribbon for the handles.
The insert that holds the gift card was quickly made from another of Meg's Garden papers and finished again with flowers. It is almost too good to give away!

Gift Bag

Easy to create and assemble using the Pink & Green collection, yet so effective.
I bound the top edge with lace and attached sheer ribbon as handles. Cut & Create images feature on both sides of the box, mounted onto tags.
More ribbon, a brass and pearl jewellery flourish, and finishing off with flowers and a sentiment complete the design.
Just perfect for a box of chocolates, a silk scarf, or in this instance, beautiful perfume.

Sherlock III: a New Case - Be as awesome as you can...

Sherlock III: a New Case
Be as awesome as you can.
I am popping in to show you my latest creation for Meg's Garden, using the NEW collection.

Using the Sherlock III, paper collection, I have created this layout of my nephew, Nathaniel.
I have tried to replicate the peeling paper with the brown kraft paper on the background.

I have used the layered papers from one of the background sheets as ephemera.

I really like the reflection of the owl in the water so I tried not to cover it.

I have used black enamel dots to repeat the black brad holding the sentiment tag.
BE AS AWESOME AS YOU CAN.

I hope you like what I have created today with products from Meg's Garden, follow the link to her website below for more of an idea of what she sells.

Take care everyone

A Card Option

Hello Bloggers

On occasion I go through my large basket of items pulled from magazines, ideas scribbled on scraps of papers etc. & try to make some sense of them; sort them somehow & toss those that are no longer relevant.

Found this template that I had downloaded from Stampington mag in 2002
(I told you I had lots - been collecting for a while) & this basket has been moved from Sydney to Crafers & then to Hahndorf

Entire length is 11.5", widest part is 5.5". I added a gusset but ended up not using it.  Length from widest part to base is 4.5".  Middle section is also 4.5". Top section is 2.5" by 3.5"
The easiest way to create is to cut a rectangle 5.5" x 11.5"; measure up the centre of it; scoring between the sections & then cut out the 6 triangles.

Green Cardstock cut from A4. Used White Flowers on Green paper to decorate

2cm white rose, green leaves. 2 white rosebuds, pearl sprays,  bead, cream 4mm double sided satin ribbon for the handle & cream organza & sating ribbon for the bow

I cut 2 triangles to fit the front & inside from White Flowers on green. The purse is closed by agnet with a sliver of paper to cover & give strength to the opening

The inside of the purse is decorated with foam mounted ephemera to act as pockets; the tags are also foam mounted & tucked into the ephemera pockets.

Pic of entire inside of the purse showing the 3 sections - top, middle & bottom.
I did not use the folding pocket shown in the template below.

You could  use double sided patterned paper as shown in the template pic.

Other options:
use in a mini album
make the sides straight
decorate in whatever style would suit the recipient -
male, female or child
use as an invitation with RSVP inside

many ideas:

If you have an idea for the template, please add a comment to this post.

Bye for now

Mothers Day Inspired Gift Set

Hello all and welcome to my post for Meg's Garden.  Today's project has been inspired by Mother's Day, which is just around the corner.  I have created a unique and softly feminine gift giving collection.  The beautiful colours and soft tones in the Rose Quartz Papers lends itself perfectly for that special gift for Mum.

My first two creations are a card and matching paperbag envelope that I have altered to

To create the paperbag envelope, I have folded the base of the paper bag up and glued down both sides to create a pocket for one of the Cut and Create  tags

and I have slipped my card into the bag opening.

My card is quite simple, just a piece of folded baby pink cardstock.  I have used a border punch down one side and also accented with a white cardstock border.  I have used more of the Cut and Create sheet, large Gardenia, dusty pink ribbon, twine, baby paper roses and a fancy frame. I have inked all my edges with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet Distress ink.

I have also added the punch borders to the inside of the card.

My next creation from this gift set is an altered white glass jar.  I am sorry readers, but I have no before pics, but I do have a bit of a tutorial on how I added the Cut and Create label.

I fussy cut one of the labels from the Cut and create sheet.  However I found that the paper was a little thick and wanted to crinkle around the edges.  So I decided to gently rub back some of the layers.  I gently spritzed the back of the label

and then ever so lightly, I rubbed the back of the label till it started to "ball up".

I repeated this a couple of times, being very careful not to rip or remove too much.
Once I had removed enough layers  that the label now sat flush, with hardly any wrinkling or crinkling, I glued it into place with some mod podge.

and then sealed it with some Jo Sonja's decoupage varnish.

And last, but not least is my gift bag.  I have a few of these little craft paper bags in my stash and this was the perfect size for my altered jar.

I have used ....... Rose Quartz to decorate the front and the back. To embellish I have used the large metal filligree rose and layered a cream gardenia to it.  I have also used the cream trim and lace from our kit.  I fussy cut   the "Love You" tag from the Cut and Create to tuck in behind the flower as an added sentiment.

Items I have used to create my projects are:-

Thank you for joining me today.
....till next time
remember to live your bliss......
