I am loving this new collection from Denise Ann.
Decided to do the same design for:
- vintage card
- scrapbook page
Diana & Meg - sisters |
Love in the Garden |
close up of embellishment |
I think this is my favourite paper in the collection - it is called 'Chic Couture Flourish' & is the most beautiful pale pink. Should have added some lace but I am happy with the pearls, a Pin of Jewels, 3 open paper flowers & 2 paper green leaves. The distress ink is Tattered Rose. I have cut around the flourish in the left corner in order to tuck in the foam mounted pics.
The top photo is of my sister Diana & me as young girls (I am on the right). My grandmother was an accomplished seamstress so we always had the most beautiful dresses.
This is my second favourite - at least it is today - my favourites change a lot. Not sure why - maybe the weather, colour of the sky & clouds .....
This paper is called 'Silk Evening Toilette, by Mme Fladry, rue Richter, Paris'. It is so fabulous to know the designer of the dress - it was taken from an Edwardian & Victorian Fashion Book that had pics from the original Paris fashions - such a beautiful book.
This lady looks as though she is dreaming so I chose the word 'dream' as part of the embellishing of the paper (she is not dreaming but is showing the elegant detail on the back of her dress) . The top pic is using an organza flower lace with a diamante in dark brown & moccha tonings with a Pin of Jewels.
This paper is embellished again with 'Dream', a pin of jewels, pearls, green paper leaves & an open paper rose with distressed edges in Frayed Burlap.
I am now off to try for some more projects
Bye for now
Meg
