Victorian Era

Hi
Gayle has approached her Victorian layout in her own unique way - a page of contrast.

"Every generation laughs at the old fashions, but follows religiously the new".    Henry David Thoreau.

Gayle says: 'I love the Victorian era with all its elegance and attention to beautiful detail....ruffles, bows, flowers and exquisite fabrics like velvet and chintz.. I also love contrasts, so my page has a photo of my daughter as a hair model for a national competition last year ( they came 3rd. ), surrounded by Victorian women, dress forms and beautiful flowers.'

"Fashion is made to become unfashionable".    Coco Chanel
