'In the Pink' from Marg

Hello Bloggers

This Card is brought to us from Marg's Blog - Heather emailed me about it, I looked at it & Marg was immediately invited to the DT - you can see why!

'In the Pink'
'Hello again everyone and a very warm welcome to my blog.

Lovely to have you here. I want to share another card with you. This one is
made with some gorgeous papers from Meg's Garden.  I love these papers, the
have such a lot of pretty detail in them.  Lots of flowers and different
images and the colours are so pretty too.
No inking around the edge this time just a couple of rips and some sewing.

I added a little texture with a TCW Mini Tile stencil and some texture paste and then started
doing a bit of inking.

Unfortunately  I didn't like the result and decided the extra colour wasn't needed anyway so then I had to cover it up again.  This was where a bit of watered down gesso came in very handy.  Covered up the 'whoopsie' very nicely and the little butterfly completed the camouflage.

I used a doily and some diecuts under the flower and added a little tag from G45.  The flower is from Prima and it was originally yellow and white which wasn't really right for this card so I sprayed the centre with Sugar Plum Glimmer Mist and also added a vintage brad.   I love how it turned out.

The flower sprig die is the Honey Blossom Sprig from Memory Box.
The crystal sprigs are from Magnolia Ink.

The inside was decorated with more  dp from Meg's Garden.  You can see here what I mean about all the detail on these papers, you really don't have to add a lot to them.
And there you have it!!  Another card finished.  I have more to show you, but they are for another day.
Thank you so much for visiting and for any lovely comments you might leave me.  Much appreciated.
Take care and God Bless.
oxox Marg

An absolutely gorgeous card - well done Marg.  Thanks for telling us how you fixed your whoopsie - we all make them.  The embellishing is fabulous.

Christmas Sale starts today

Hello Bloggers

The Christmas Sale started today with 25% discount on all items in the Christmas Shop.

We also have a Christmas card from Vicky Alberto - one of our old DT members in Canada.

'I just LOVE the "White Christmas" theme this month. I've actually had mine done for 6 weeks now and can finally share it. I used some older papers from Meg's Garden and paired them with corrugated cardstock (I white-washed it with paint) and lots of gorgeous chipboard. I used a reindeer from the Santa sleigh and reindeer piece (I just cut off the last reindeer), a mini lamp post and some letters. I generously covered the reindeer and lamp post with Alabaster white paint then topped them with diamond dust glass and stickles glitter. The word JOY was plain chipboard topped with clear crackle varnish... I really the glossy crackle effect on plain pieces!'

Thanks Vicky for thinking of us.

A Farewell to Christmas (for this year only) from Kerry-Jean

Hello Bloggers

Kerry-Jean explains her gorgeous LO:

'Hello all

I thought this month I would do something pretty. So this naturally required flowers, butterflies and bright flowery paper, the outcome of which evokes feeling and spring time glee.'

'I wanted to add a bit more dimension the the background paper,
 so I used a mask.

I covered the Large Oval laser frame fr006 with crackle paint and after it dried I applied some ink to age it a little bit. The lovely old photo of the two angels came from the 'Tis Christmas Time Collection (Christmas Angels P6366) as well as the background paper (Christmas Flowers P6362), which I like for the red and vintage white pallet.
The flowers and leaves were just plain white ones that I misted with some crimson Glimmer Mist.
Of course there had to be butterflies which you can get here, love the colors of them so much.'

This is such a beautiful LO - well done Kerry-Jean.  Love the colours, the masking & flowers.  The butterflies are gorgeous on the LO & add a touch of whimsy.  Also love the way you have curled the pic of the angels inside the frame.

Glued the frame added silver  trim(RBY36)fussy cut roses, wired gems, red roses, green leaves, a sheer silver bow & the title. Noel P6366 completed the project.
