Hi Everyone its Suzanne Crowther here at Meg's Garden Blog. I have made Two projects using the "correspondence collection" designed by Kerry-Jean Watson for Meg's Garden. This is a stunning range of papers that are truly suited to most styles and most cards. They are also amazing to work with. I used the mini card pack.
My first project is a Twisted Easel card called "Miss Charlotte"
This is a 6x6 inch card. I have trimmed and torn the papers
to fit, I like to use 2 inks on my edges, and I did not add any stamps or
stencils as I think these papers do shine on their own.
I used the beautiful Laser cut small oval Victorian frame
from Megs Garden which I painted with metallics. I placed an off cut piece of
laser cut trim painted the same as the frame along the bottom of the card.
I also added the vintage beauty picture No 019 from Megs
Garden to the frame, before I fitted the beautiful picture and frame I added a
piece of lace and ribbon. Then I fitted the frame and ran a piece of the
stunning tattered net trim to only half the frame as I still wanted these
stunning papers to feature.
To finish off the front I added the jewelled Duke Pin, white
small rose, Velvet flower with a braid pink/purple all from Megs Garden. I did
stamp a small sentiment onto the paper and added it to the front.
For the inside of the card I used a piece of “Correspondence”
Paper that I distressed and inked I added a piece of beautiful double sided
satin ribbon in lavender and mint from Megs Garden. I only stuck the bottom and
both sides forming a pocket. I then added the most stunning open rose in off
white with the velvet flower braid in pink/purple both from Megs Garden,
I added a few pearls in ivory for the tag and I used piece
of card stock. I added small piece of “Correspondence” paper small frame the
vintage picture, tattered net trim and whit rose all from Megs Garden. I did
add a bit of gold metallic to the roses.
For my second project I have made another twisted easel card
gotta love them I do.
This card is called “Grace”
Once again I used the stunning “Correspondence” collection
mini pack. This is a 6x6 inch card. I used 2 papers I trimmed and distressed
again with 2 inks I ran a piece of the beautiful double sided satin ribbon in
mint and lavender and 1 small white rose all from Meg's Garden.
I also used a doily Mini Square from Megs
Garden that I sewed with yellow and soft pink thread. I folded the square in a
vintage style.
I also placed a beautiful metal flower from Meg's Garden on
the folded doily.
The inside features a pocket using the “Correspondence”
Collection stuck down along the bottom and both sides. I also added the ribbon
the same as the front but I reversed it as it shows on the front mint with
lavender Bow on the pocket. It shows Lavender with Green bow this ribbon is a
fantastic quality all at Meg's Garden.
I also added some beautiful cornsilk flowers from Meg's
Garden and then a sentiment
I made a small tag using the paper and cornsilk flower. I
also added Lavender and Green ribbon with just a few pearls to finish off.
I do hope you like these cards please come over to Meg's Garden
and have a look at all the wonderful products.

But now I have seen your breathtaking cards, and I find I need to go back and view some more!! But that will have to be for my next order! Thank you for sharing - you have truly inspired this card maker! Julie
