Cards With Different Folds

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing two cards that I have made using papers from the Sherlock III collection, Lavande and the Vintage Flower Journal Cards. Just for a change, I have created cards with different folds, and embellished them in a vintage/shabby chic style.

For my first card, I decided that I would make and accordian fold card.

It is secured with a band, that can can open and close. The two ends slightly overlap and are secured with velcro dots.

The base of my card is kraft cardstock. I used both Sherlock III and Lavande papers to decorate the panels of the card.

The centre image is a Vintage Floral Journal Card.

After securing it to the card, I scored it so that it could lift up. You can stamp/write your message here.

My second card is a square lace tri-fold card. The base is kraft cardstock and I have used the Sherlock III papers.

Again, it is secured into place using a band and velcro dots. This is the inside view of the card.

The back view of the card.

For both cards, I used Lori Whitlock cut files which I then used on Silhouette Cameo machine.

Thanks so much for stopping by Meg's Garden today!

striped layout | Marina Gridasova

Hello crafty ladies! Marina is here with new layout about sweet nephew with wonderful Watercolouor collection ))))

several details:

Firstly I decided to combine lined paper with watercoloured and decided to cut striped with heart background using for top layer and for the bottom used more vintage one for more contrast.

Also you know I adore to fussy-cut our ephemera sheets and you get tons of different layers )))) so here I used some of them, plus added some accents from The Shades of Green collection and a few die-cutted leaves from the same collection.

Hope you were inspired and share with us your creations!
Have a wonderful day,
Marina.

Love Lines

Hello friends,

I am enjoying creating with Meg's new Vintage Journal Cards, and excited to use another new product - vintage lined paper.

I used the new lined paper for the background of my card to start, and used another of the Vintage Flower Journal Cards as my topper.

Taking inspiration from the colouring of the Journal Card, I kept all coordinating A4 watercolour papers, cardstock and embellishments in tones of cream and pale green, to make a light and lacy card for any occasion.

I used several die cut frames and borders, all cut from Meg's watercolour papers. I love layering off centre, so the focus is drawn back to the main topper - in this instance, the beautiful rose.
Adding another layer and texture element, I placed lace going across the card, and finished with a lace bow. Under the bow, I included a charm trinket as a base, and clustered flowers together to finish. All tie in wonderfully, just like they were 'meant to be'!

The vintage lined paper again is so versatile and a perfect addition to Meg's collections. As they come in A4 sheets, I had plenty left over. This time I used the paper as an insert inside my card - to quite literally, use as lined paper for my greeting!
As always, I finished with distressing and inking the edges.

At 3x4" in size, the Journal Cards suit all shapes of cards, and you can always make something small look the 'big picture'!

Happy card making
Julia xx

Vintage Journal Card

Mary sharing my last Vintage Journal Card with you

What a sweet delicate image with the two birds amongst a bunch of flowers.

I decided to keep this card simple as to not take away from the gorgeous image. I mounted the Vintage Journal Card on some blue Cardstock and raised on foam dots . My base is from the Card Makers papers and adds a elegant touch.

I finished the card with a simple little bow with narrow satin ribbon
Card making is made so simple with the beautiful products from Megs Store. I encourage to pop over to the shop and see all the lovely goodies.

Vintage Journal Card

Hello Mary here to share a card created with the new Vintage Journal Cards now available in Megs Store

I mounted the journal card on a piece of cardstock and used foam dots to raise the image. As my base I have used the Watercolour Background Paper, which has the lovely touch of the photo corners.

Under the raised image I have placed the Lattice and circle die cut and a strip of lace at the side  . I finished off the card with some pastel enamel dots and the sheer green ribbon bow.

I decorated the inside with a image from a cut and create sheet.
The Vintage Journal cards come in Florals,  Vintage Ladies and Vintage Men. I think these along with the cut and create images are also great for Journals and Mix Media Projects.
I hope I have inspired you to get creative with the lovely goodies in Megs Store

Happy Creating
