Pretty tags .... same but different

Oh, I'm loving these ART TAGS!

For these tags, I've not only used the tags, but also the labels that came with the ART TAG download. I've used the same design for both tags and simply changed it up a bit by layering different papers, laces, and embellishment between the two tags. It's what I call easy crafting.

Till next time HAPPY CRAFTING

His story

Hello everyone & welcome,

Today I have a masculine mini album that I would like to share with you. This album features paper from the Vintage Journal Cards - mixed series, plus Alchemy 101 collection and Sherlock III - A New Case A4 papers.

The front cover has lots of embellishments starting with this die cut shape, the large gears die, some buttons that I like to collect, black seed beads and gold pearl trim. These are all great embellishments for that masculine look. I love all of the images scattered throughout as they suit the vintage style of my album.
Each piece of paper and image has been distressed using a paper distressing tool. I followed this with lots of inking. The colour ink pad I chose was 'Gathered Twig'.
There are lots of pockets and tags in this album.

Plenty of room for writing or adding photos.

This album is held together with O rings, allowing room for more pages to be added at a later date.
I am so pleased with how this album has turned out. Be sure to stop by Meg's Garden online store for products used to create my masculine vintage journal album.

Until next time.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.

Special Man

Once again, Meg has sourced some wonderful vintage images for her ever growing range of Vintage Journal Cards (VJC).

Today, I am sharing a group of four cards I have made, suitable for a very special man in your life!

Inspiration for my cards came from the many evocative pictures within Meg's Vintage Journal Card collections. Each, not only giving you creative inspiration, but also memories of yesteryear.

The bling embellishments with the VJC hot air balloon, not only looks stunning, but acts as the appearance of wind gusts, blowing the balloon along.
You can never have "too much" bling!
I also stamped the background in tonal colours, with travel images, and mounted up the VJC, keeping it it main focal feature.

For dimension, each card has a 3D decoration, including tassels and buttons. All in keeping with the style, vintage, and adding a textual element to the cards.
Drawing inspiration from the stack of books VJC, I designed the front of the card as if it were an open page of a book - complete with dog-eared corners and a book mark.

Meg's collections include beautiful sentiments and quotations. For the "Captain Cook" vessel VJC - in full sail - what could be more suitable than "Life is a Journey"!
Colouring the sentiment in sepia tones to match with the VJCs, and adding tweed ribbon finished off this card, ready for it to take its own journey to the lucky recipient.

Concertina Queen

Hi Everyone,

Using one full sheet of Meg's new Art Tags, I created this special friendship card.

By using the lines as my guide from the individual tags, I was able to make the once flat sheet into a concertina card with the Tag designs as my base. I trimmed the Tag sheet, removing the tabbed tops to create straight edges.. However, if you take a close look, you'll see I've repurposed the cut off tabs as embellishments in the card!

I wanted a contrasting yet complimenting colour for the other side of the card. As always with Meg's vast collection of patterned paper, I was able to find the perfect blue floral print for the card. This also gave me my colouring guide, bringing the blue from inside to feature on the front sides.

With a friendship card in mind, I found appropriate sayings and sentiments to decorate, whilst also leaving blank spaces for the giver to write their own words.

From past Cut & Create collections, as well as Meg's range of beautiful flowers, I was able to pick the perfect tonal embellishments, and also imagery complimenting the friendship theme.

Using ribbon from Meg's shop, the final touch to the concertina card is wrapping it up like a gift, making the perfect card and gift in one for someone special.

Art Tags

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing two tags. Meg's Garden has a new collection called Art Tags. They are a collection of tags that you cut out and embellish.

To create my first tag, I cut out one tag then traced around it onto some chipboard to add some stability. I inked the edges using walnut stain distress ink and used a TCW stencil for some texture. I also used some papers from the Spring Flowers Collection to embellish.

For my second tag I once again reinforced my tag with some chipboard. I had this chipboard frame from an earlier release and I felt it coordinated beautifully with one of the Spring Flowers papers. I altered it using some embossing powder.

I used a combination of blooms and lace to add a vintage feel to this tag.
Using the ticket labels also adds to the vintage feel of the tag. I used foam tape to adhere
it to the tag for extra dimension.

Life is a journey....

Hello everyone & welcome,
Today I would like to share with you a mini album that I have created using these beautiful Vintage Journal cards - mixed from Meg's Garden online store. The Vintage Journal cards are just one of the latest releases of papers now available for you to purchase.

For my album I selected all of the floral images from this series to create a gardening journal. This journal measures approximately 12.5cm x 18cm. I have covered the front & back covers using paper from the Shades of Green A4 paper range. Some lace, pearl trim, a metal charm, wording and a die cut frame complete my cover.

Each of the internal pages has been tea dyed using water & a tea bag. I love the variety of colours and patterns created by dipping and splattering this tea solution on each sheet of paper. Once each page was totally dry I set about creating my album. To create a vintage look to my journal I have used a distress ink called Tea Dye. I also used this ink pad for all of my stamping.
I have stamped one side of each page. Here you could add some writing or a photo.
The other side of each page is decorated using beautiful images and wording from the VJC series.

Each page is a little bit different. Some pages have pockets or tucks and there are lots of tags scattered throughout.

I have added embellishments of lace, pearl trim, SA pearls, ribbon, metal charms and a paper doily.
You can find lots of these embellishments in Meg's Garden online store.

My journal is held together with O rings, leaving room to add more pages in the future.
I hope I have inspired you to create this simple journal. A place to store information and memories of your garden.

Until next time.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.

fab `18 layout | Marina Gridasova

Hello ladies and gents! Marina is here and today I want to share layout with Megs Garden newest French Roses collection.
As you know first thing I do with new collection is to fussy-cutting all the elements from the ephemera sheets. So this is the 3rd project with the collection, and I just need to use prepared elements for my composition )))))
 details:

I added chipboard cut-outs under the photos to lift above the main composition. Also to create light work I glue die-cut leaves only on small part of them.
Hope I can inspire you to create something beautiful with our products! )))
Have a great day!
