Hello Paper Artists
After finishing my Nature Album, I decided to do some cards. I do not do them very often but needed to get my feet wet again.
Here are the first 2. Both used 2 of the 10x7" album papers which were cut in half.
The 1st card used an image from the first paper.
The image was inked on the edges - frayed burlap & attached to the cream ivory card. I used a scrap cardstock & cut to fit the image to 4.25" wide x 11.5" high - it opens up. A piece of jute twine was tied across the top & the bird was lacquered.
I always embellish the inside of my cards - this one used 2 ephemera & I die cut a tag. All 3 pieces were inked & 1 ephemera was used as a pocket. The pocket & the tag have also been embellished with the same jute twine.
The 2nd card is also very simple. The green 10x7" paper was cut in half - the 1 piece that had the leaves was used on the front. A piece of green organza ribbon was tied around the fold of the sage cardstock & tied in a knot. The card measures 51/4 x 7.5"
The other half of the 10x7" paper is used on the inside front of the card
A pocket was made from the cardstock; a Cut & Create was tucked into the pocket & a loose knot glued to the front of the pocket
I hope these 2 cards give you some ideas on how the
background album papers 10x7" can be used on cards
The next blog post has 2 more cards from the same collection
Bye for now
