A Little Book by Charlotte

Hi

Charlotte, from Charlotte's Web in Marion SA, made this project & taught it to retailers for Meg's Garden at a trade fair in Sydney.   Charlotte Barratt is one of the Queens of Shabby Chic & this little book shows you why.

The booklet can be as simple as you want but can also have additional pages added. With a booklet type project, always wait until the book is finished before adding front & back covers to it - you need to allow space for the book to be closed. This one has the green ribbon running on the outside of the covers & is closed by toggles on the ends of the ribbon at the side; you can also have the ribbon between the covers & the inside to close with a bow on the outside.

The book is made from 1 sheet of A4 paper cardstock;  fold it in half lengthwise & then into quarters with the half fold as the peak & the quarter folds as valleys. Cut & make 4 tags from the same cardstock.

Cover the front & back chipboards with paper; tear, cut & punch the A4 sheet as shown in the pic; distress all edges & then decorate with charms, lace, ribbons & more. Add journaling & photos. All products are from Meg's Garden.

Fabulous little book Charlotte - she can be found at:

I have 2 other little books, also designed by Charlotte, to show you in the next post.

After that we return to some gorgeous projects using the Forget Me Not Collection papers from the Design Team.

Bye for now
