Heather's Layout is called Love

Hello Bloggers

'Hello every one today I am sharing a layout using some of the BEAUTIFUL FRENCH INSPIRED papers designed by Denise ‘ The Articles de Paris .’
This is one of my faves  and I have mixed it with snippets of the Christmas papers and the Forget me Nots paper collection from 2012.I love the soft muted colors and here I decided to create a background using two grey toned cardstock. The banner consists of Ann-Le Belle Jardin papers mixed with grey cardstock. The photo is mounted with Ann-Le Belle Jardin papers and then the velvet flowers and die cut foliage are clustered around the bottom edge .I fussy cut the ‘Clouterie Label’ and mounted it next to the photo . To add extra interest I altered The Tim Holtz metal elements with gesso and ink . '

Adriana scraps her cat

Hello Bloggers

“Adore” layout by Adriana Bolzon - her explanation follows:

'Last year I was very fortunate to be published in the “Australian Scrapbooking Ideas” Magazine. In Issue 17 which was available in the shops last November I had created a few layouts of which one I am going to show you today.
Here I made a lovely garden scene with Meg’s Garden Papers “Green Toile” papers in which I placed my cat in the lovely paper garden.

My commissioned technique assignment was how to cut around photos and create a different background for your photos. Animals can be fairly tricky to photograph as they tend to move around a lot. By placing pets on a bed and keeping them comfortable and still you can take the photo, it does not matter what background you have because once your photos are printed, you can cut around them and place in your layout.'

'Meg’s Garden Green Toile P6295 Paper X 2
Olive, white, burgundy & Brown cardstock
Kaisercraft  lamp, birdcage, “Adore” wood
Pearls
Versa brown & black inkpad
Range glossy accents
Red Berries
Punch, Distress Tool, die cuts

Thanks again, till next time, Cheers Adriana XX'

Fabulous LO Adriana - well done.  Did you tell your cat it was famous??  Love the way you have cut out the cat & sat it in a garden of flowers. Beautiful

Vintage Beauty Tags from Adriana

Hello Bloggers

Adriana shows us her tags using some of the Vintage Beauties images.  Adriana explanins:

“Vintage Beauty Tags” by Adriana Bolzon

'I love vintage tags, so today I am going to show 2 tags that I have created using strips of Meg’s garden papers with pretty vintage beauties collage images with all the gorgeous embellishments that are available at Meg’s Garden website.
When you purchase a 12’x12’ paper from Meg’s Garden you also receive a strip 12’ x 4’ of the same paper design. So today I am going to show you an idea to use this small strip to make backgrounds for tags. Cut the paper strip to the size you require and adhere to your tag. I used normal size manila tag.  Megs’ garden website sells packs of various sizes.
I gently white washed the papers with Tim Holtz Distress Stain Picket Fence to give them a very shabby look to them and inked the edges with brown ink.
Then I decorated each tag with all the embellishments that I have listed below. Each vintage image is cut from the collage sheet; there are many images to choose from you get 5 different sized images on a 12’ x 4’ strip. Also if you can not decide which image you like, there is a Vintage Beauty pack (see more details on the website). I distressed the edges of the images and then inked around them and layered them on top of a ATC collage paper another paper repeating the same process.'

'My Girl" from Stephanie

Hello Bloggers

This beautiful blue page is from Stephanie & she explains it:

'My Girl

I love these beautiful papers from Meg’s Garden and thought they would be perfect for this photo of my daughter. I distressed all papers with my distress tool. For my paper layers under the photo I used a piece of “French Bouquet”  paper approximately 7¼” x 3½” and glued the white lace down the right side of the paper and used my double sided tape to stick that piece down. The next 4” x 2” piece of paper was cut from the 4” bottom strip of the “Ma Fleur Rose” paper using the scroll frame piece which I glued down about an inch down from the top of the other piece. I cut the perfume label from the “French Bouquet” paper and glued that down as shown. I then laid my photo down over top of these layers.

I took one of the white gardenias and used my purple ink to color it and glued it down and used two of the green leaves to slip under either side of the flower as shown and then glued down the lilac and lavender flowers and the small pink rose buds on either side of the large flower. I tore in on one side of the background paper and used a small piece of mauve cardstock behind the torn area and glued down a small purple rosebud as shown by the tear. I then laid the pink crystal and pearl flourish on the left side of the layout. I printed out two butterflies and used glossy accents on both of them for some strength & shine and glued them down as shown. I then cut out my title with my Cricut machine and laid that down.  TFL!'

The Flower Boy

Hello Bloggers

Ulrika introduces us to her 'flower boy'

' Hello everyone! Today it´s time for my second page created with Meg´s Garden beautiful products!
For my page I started with the grey paper with stripes on. Then I made a frame behind my photo with the pretty squared cake paper and a green paper from Meg´s. I love to sew
on my pages and here I used zigzag stitches. I punched out the fence with a die from Sizzix and painted it white and then I used Crackle paint on to get a distressed look. The frame behind the photo is from Spellbinders. When this was done I started to do some fuzzy cutting on the gorgeous blue flowers. Then I glued them in front of the fence. I love to create a pretty flower cluster and when I found blue flowers I´m even more happy!'

The big blue ones you can
find in the shop. All leaves are also from Meg´s!
Hugs from Ulrika!'

What a beautiful layout - well done Ulrika

Love your flower clusters - the photo is perfect for this layout.  The papers are from the Forget Me Not Collection. The frames make the perfect embellishments.

Sandrine plays with the Paisley Collection

Hi Bloggers

Sandrine shares this LO with us & explains:

'Today I would like to share a new layout for Meg's Garden using the glorious Spring Paisley Collection.

I mainly used the Pink Paislee Flourishes Paper P6315 as I just loved the gorgeous patterns through it!
The paisleys and flourishes on the paper are perfect for fussy cutting, I love how the paisleys have a scallop edge as well. I designed the layout on the colours found in the papers - rose and sage and kept the page simple as the paper cuttings had enough details.

I also used a bird cage cut out of "Rose Collage" P6292 (Le Belle Jardin Collection) as the colour matched beautifully. I embellished it with a torn piece of white German Scrap and a Tim Holtz mini Paper Clip shaped into a heart. I adorned the page with some gorgeous Dusty Attic blooms. I added my personal touch of punched circles, pearls and stamped words and handstitched a white border around the layout.
Meg's Garden's papers are so inspiring to work with, I am really enjoying creating with them! I hope I inspired you to go and create with them too!'

Meg's Garden Products:
- PINK PAISLEE FLOURISHES P6315
- ROSE COLLAGE P6292
- TIM HOLTZ MINI PAPER CLIPS TH92781
- GERMAN SCRAP BORDER WHITE G7203
- GRASSY KNOLL FLOWER SET DA809

Other Products:
- BAZILL CARDSTOCK
- DISTRESS INK - TATTERED ROSE -
- EMBROIDERY FLOSS AND WHITE COTTON THREAD
- CHIPBOARD FRAME AND TITLE

Gorgeous layout Sandrine - well done.  You have noted that the Paisley & Le Belle Jardein papers matched - this is so with almost all of Denise Ann's paper collections.
Love your fussy cutting & adornments - they are an inspiration to us all.

A Fairy Garden card from Evgenia

Hello Bloggers

Today we change from little girls in pretty LOs & grungy LOs to a Fairyland Garden.

This time I decided to recreate a little fairy scene, that suits these papers  perfectly. As they are already so rich in patterns, so its so easy just to add some touches. I just went with the main colors of the papers- pale green, bit of yellow.

Well done Evgenia - a beautiful addition to the papers. Love the saying

Chantal scraps her little girl Heidi

Hello Bloggers

Another mother scraps her little girl - this time with a tattoo

Chantal explains the tattoo & hr LO: 'Here I have used "French Garden" from the gloriously rich and pretty "French Garden Collection"…  I have used gesso and paint to build up and to add depth to this lovely background paper.

I have trimmed the above mentioned background paper to use Paper Doiley Lace Strips around the edges my entire layout. I have adhered these layers by machine stitching them to a vibrant pink cardstock backing.

Being published in Scrapbooking Memories

I have also fussy cut roses and leaves from "Rose Abundance" from the "Anne Rose Collection".  I love their vibrancy!

I've used Collage Transparencies (101) and I've really enjoyed layering these!  I am loving Tim Holtz's mini paperclips - they are adorable to tuck in little details like paper doilies etc!!

I've used lots of ribbon and ricrac trim to create interesting horizontal elements to my layout (which ties in with my journalling strips).  There's so much to choose from in store and the colours match brilliantly to the papers!

Thanks so much for the opportunity to work with such lovely products… I am truly blessed!

Happy new year!

Cheers,
Chantal :)'

Absolutely gorgeous - well done Chantal.  Love all the colours & embellishments.  Your journalling is so precious.

Sandrine scraps her little girl

Hi Bloggers

Here is another little girl with a completely different approach to the layout - how fascinating to see the differences in their styles.

Sandrine explains her page:  'I have another project completed for Meg's Garden using the stunning Spring Paisley Collection! With loads of products from the shop too! I have lots of closies for you today, this layout's style is grungy, with lots of layers. I do have to admit I love white and any pastel colour schemes so when I saw this gorgeous Spring Paislee Collection I fell in love!

Closie of the gorgeous paislee and leaves and Dusty Attic Blooms:

Take a look at this test tube filled with green beads!

Some gorgeous charms covered in gesso, some lace, some German Scrap and Tim Holtz mini paper clips:

Look at all the different textures, so grungy!

I would like to share some tips on how I used Meg's Garden gorgeous products.
- GERMAN SCRAP BORDERS WHITE: in my layout I tore and inked bits of scrap and then glued them down with foam tape for added dimension
- DUSTY ATTIC GRASSY KNOLL FLOWERS: I added a thin layer of gesso to grunge them up
FILIGREE AND TIM HOLTZ MINI PAPER CLIPS: can also be gessoed for grunginess use strong clear drying glue to adher to your page.
- LACE: use to add great texture to your design, adhere with clear quick drying glue
- PATTERNED PAPER: look at your pattern and cut out your favourite designs, in this instance the paisley and leaves/branches were cut out of Green Eau de Lavande and edges inked.
- TINY TEST TUBE: that is my favourite element! I filled it with green glass beads, to keep them in I added some dimensional magic at the top! I have more of those, I will share some more idea on how to use this very versatile product in my next Meg's Garden Post.

Well I hope you enjoyed my layout and tips. I had great fun creating it!

MEG'S GARDEN PRODUCTS USED:

OTHER PRODUCTS USED:
- BAZZILL CARDSTOCK WHITE

And a fabulous project Sandrine - well done.
