A Gentlemen's Box

Hello everyone, Patti here with my latest project to help inspire you
to make something for that special man in your life.

Today I'm sharing A Gentlemen's Box with contents
using Kerry-Jean Watson's The Gentlemen Collection papers
sold exclusively at Meg's Garden

The top edge is covered with the Camel Mesh and Dodo Vine wire along with Brass embellishments which I cut in half to form the corners.  I added a Tim Holtz Curio Knob and key ring with keys from my stash for the top pull.

The premade box was covered on all four sides with different papers from The Gentlemen's Collection papers.  I used the pen nibs, which I had fussy cut individually, to enhance the metal clock embellishment.  Adding black ink around the cut pen nibs hides any bits of white that show after cutting.  Finally adding a coat of Glossy Accents to each piece gives it a bit of height and dimension on the side of the box.

Inside box contents are as follows:

Four coasters made with 3 layers of black chipboard, covered with papers from the collection and coated with several layers of Mod-Podge for durability.

Next I have a pack of playing cards which sport the paper on all sides of the box.  I had wanted to add a set of poker chips to go along with the cards but still hadn't found them as of this posting.

Lastly I've included a matchbook style notepad.  Inside are blank papers for those messages and lists that need remembering.

Please check out my video below for a complete walk through and additional photos to inspire you to create a special Gentlemen's Box for that man in your life.
