Blue Butterfly Mini Album

Hello everyone, and welcome to Meg's Garden blog. I am so glad you could drop by for a visit. Today, I am sharing a quick and cute mini album, created with the Watercolour in Blues A4 papers. This is my go-to album - it is quick to create, simple to decorate, and very versatile.

Here is a close-up of the cover. It has a band that slides on and off, which keeps the album closed when not in use. I have added thin white lace to both the top and bottom edges of the album for extra texture. And I have finished the paper edges with a pop of bright blue ink.

This close-up of the band shows how I have layered items to create a focal point in the centre. I have die cut paper doilies in two sizes, added blue ink and glitter, added a die cut butterfly, roses, leaves, and a cut out butterfly from the Watercolours In Blue Cut And Create papers. I have finished with a pink rose bud for a little colour contrast. The band itself has been created with cardstock and a paper lace strip

Slide off the band, and the album can be opened.

Here is the view of the album when it is first opened. I have allowed two pages for photos, and added a mini-envelope to add mementos or extra photos.

Isn't this just the cutest little pocket? Because this album folds up so snugly, embellishments within must be kept flat. A mini album allows you to add extra items without too much bulk.

This is the album fully opened. There is a total of 5 spaces for photos, and four pages for adding extra details and/or journalling.

Maybe add a few details of your favourite things that happened the day the photographs were taken?

Or maybe write a little message to the receiver of the album? Your options are limitless.

Thank-you for joining me today. It has been a pleasure to be able to share my creation with you. If you have any questions in regards to this album, please don't hesitate to ask.
I am always happy to help.
