THE FRUIT PICKER ~ SHERLOCK 111 A NEW CASE

Hello !
Mary here to share another layout using the Sherlock 111 A New Case Range. I have really enjoyed creating with this range. I create this layout for a challenge where the Criteria was "Country" and this is what I created

The Fruit Picker

I enjoyed playing with texture paste and mists , stamps , die cuts , Mesh ribbon and jute with this layout . I've also added a hot air balloon charm and bee charm to the layout

I have also layered the strip filigree over the round filigree and added some Jute Twine and gold colour paste . The PP layered under my photo of one of my Mothers brothers is from the 4 x 12" strip that comes with the 12 x 12 papers. Under the papers I have used staples to adher the mesh and jute ribbons.
The die cut I have used is Megs Store .
Thank You for calling by .

The Earth without Art is just Eh ~ Sherlock 111 A New Case

Hello fellow scrappers, Mary back to share another layout created with the Sherlock 111 A New Case Range.

The "Earth" without "Art" is just "Eh"

To create this layout I have layered my photo taken at the Sistene Chapel Rome in 2008 on Cardstock and coffee stained canvas and then layered images from the cut and create sheet around the photo.

I placed a little mesh ribbon peeking through under my photo and placed a round Filigree in the corner of the photo and then added raffia and string . I've used staples to adhere the dark brown rafia and also the natural  jute ribbon in the corner.
Thank You for calling by and I hope you take the time to pop over to Megs Store .
Happy Creating

Sherlock III: a New Case - We create our tomorrows by what we dream today...

Sherlock III: a New Case
Bec here, showcasing the new collection from Meg's Garden.
With this amazing collection of vintage papers, I have created a layout for this awesome composition photo of my nephews. I have used 3 of the A4 papers to create this background and have layered them to show how effective they are together.
Here is a close up of the crackled background paper that I placed just behind the photo to co-ordinate with the brickwork and walls in the photo.
I used 3 of the metal embellishments down the side of the photo to draw the eye back to the main piece on the page.
I have layered the clock face charm on the round filigree trinket.
I have used a saying from the Ephemera from the Poetry ephemera sheets. I felt it linked well with the photo.
I stamped a diamond pattern along the edge of the background paper and the opposite side on the compass background paper
Here is the stamping on one of the new collection A4 pages.
I have placed black rhinestones on the corners of the layers to define the corners.
All of these products can be found on Meg's Garden website, follow the link below or click on the links I have provided to the individual products.
I hope you like what you see.
Take Care

Vintage Spirit ~ Sherlock 111 A New Case Range

Hello Mary here to share a layout I created with the new range available in Megs Store ~ Sherlock Holmes 111 A new Case. I chose the 12 x 12 papers

Vintage Spirit

This photo was in my Mum's photo album and I need to find out her story. I scanned the writing on the back to add to my layout and for the clue whom this lady is ~ her name being Lottie. My Grandmother on my Fathers side had a twin sister Lottie , but I am pretty sure this is not her, but rather a relative on my Mothers side as "The Glen" was my Grandparents  home on my Mothers side. Anyway I will ask my Cousin when I next see her as she is probably the only one alive now that might know.

I was thrilled to receive the fringe tassel in my pack, how gorgeous is it ! I added the pearl trim and sheer ribbon to it and also placed the green with gold ribbon under the inscription from the back of the photo along with the ink nibs.
I am loving the branch with flowers die , as it is so versatile and I placed it along side my photo . I layered a couple of images from the cut and create sheet and also used the large round fligree and added the lion door knock charm to it.
The 12 x 12 pages comes with a 4x12 strip and I have used this to tear and place under my photo, which I then swiped over with Gesso to add definition to the edges . Also to my page I added some stamping and washi tape.
Thank you so much for calling by and I hope you take the opportunity to visit Megs Store, so much gorgeous product !
Happy Creating
