Sandrine's layout is 'Love You'

Hello Bloggers

Sandrine explains her layout using a pic of her beautiful daughter:

'Today I would like to share my take on the sketch for Once Upon A Sketch for February 2013:

"Love You"

For this fabulous challenge I chose to scrapbook about the love for my daughter. I have hidden my journalling (5 reasons why I love her) in Meg's Garden's Test Tube, I cut 5 test strips and wrote my journalling on them using Distress Ink Pen in Scattered Straw.

Here is my journalling:

The main circle was handstitched with yellow thread, I also handstitched a white border around the layout.

The background was created with 'Twinkle Yellow" Glimmermist and Pink Paislee mask, also added La Blanche script stamp using Stampin Up "Barely Banana":

Closie of the beautiful design in paper - purple viny flowers!

MEG'S GARDEN PRODUCTS USED:
- MANOR HOUSE CREATIONS FLOWERS

OTHER PRODUCTS:
- WHITE CARDSTOCK, BASIC GREY PAPER
- YELLOW EMBROIDERY FLOSS, YELLOW AND WHITE COTTON THREADS
-- RANGER DISTRESS STAIN, PEN, INK,  CROCO CRACKLE PAINT
- STAMPIN UP INK
- PINK PAISLEE STAMPS AND MASK
- TATTERED ANGEL GLIMMERMIST
- IMAGINARIUM DESIGNS CHIPBOARD
- MANOR HOUSE CREATIONS FLOWERS

This is a fabulous layout showcasing a very beautiful little girl - well done Sandrine.

Love the use of the test tube with your journalling tucked inside & the jewelled pin next to it sitting in a bouquet of the lavender flowers, a hint of lace & topped with a butterfly - all in colours that accent the LO so beautifully.

A very beautiful 'Love' card Evgenia - well done.
The little birds that were cut & sitting in the trees & on the bridge are fabulous;  the little bird house up in the corner with the clock adds a fab touch - the green gives your whole scene pizzazz.  This is a card that will always be framed.

When Hever Gardens meet Meg's Garden....

Hello Bloggers

Sylvie's book belongs here because it is a work of Love.  It is based on a visit to Hever Castle & Gardens - the childhood home of Anne Boleyn.  It is a double moated castle built in the 13th Century & has 125acres of gardens - Kent, UK.  The Love of Anne Boleyn & King Henry VIII is legendary & appropriate for the month of Love.

Sylvie explains her book:

'It's a fabric mini album with pockets in which I slipped tags and photos.  The fabric was stamped, inked and embellished with the fabulous Meg's Garden papers... I cut patterns in different papers and I admit I was a bit scared to cut out these so beautiful papers...I even glued the paper flower patterns on my photos and I love the result...
I used for this creation:
French Garden Collection - Collage Cartouche, French Bouquet, Mini Paper Pack, Rose Collage, Le Belle Jardin.
embellishment clock sm

and now i have a wonderful memories of my visit to Hever Gardens...
hugs Sylvie'

The book is so beautiful & what a fabulous way to remember a special trip to a special place - well done Sylvie.  Love all your fussy cutting & overlay of the papers on the photos - great when pics are tucked into a project - it makes them seem to belong.  The pockets are a great way to add some special tags, photos & souvenirs.

Ulrika's Love is Motherhood

Hello Bloggers

Ulrika explains her layout:

'It was so fun to create after this gorgeous sketch! And the papers I used are totally to die for!  On my background I used Satin & Flowers from The Couture collection. I really love how lush it makes it look. Inside my chipboard clock I wanted a light and feminine paper and chose the pretty French Bird Cage paper from Le Belle Jardin Collection. At Meg´s shop you can also find the luxury red velvet flower called Pansy. Behind all my flowers I put some green leaves. Can´t live without some fussy cutting!
Hope you liked it! Hugs from Ulrika!'

What a beautiful layout & the expressions & smiles with the word 'Motherhood' are so fabulous - well done Ulrika. Totally love it.  The flowers, little birds & the fussy cutting are so elegant.
