LOVE
'Meg’s Garden is sponsoring Once Upon a Sketch this month and I did
this layout as a Guest Designer using their sketch for February 2013. I love
this “French Bird Cage” paper from Meg’s garden and the colors are perfect for
doing a layout about love since February is the month of “Love”!
I did some fussy cutting of the 4 x 12 strip of this paper which I
added to the top left corner of the paper and then one small piece peeking out
from the flower cluster. Under the photo I added a doily from my stash witch I
also added some pink rosebud and leaf trim to around the outer edge of the
doily. I then laid the photo down. In my flower cluster I used one of the White
Gardenias from Meg’s Garden. The two pink flowers are ones I handmade which I
added a bit of glossy accents to and then dipped them in some Diamond dust .
I took one of the Recollections flourishes I had in my stash and
cut that into a few pieces and laid it on the layout as shown. I printed my journaling out on some pink
cardstock and then cut that up to glue down onto the right side of the photo. I
cut my title out using my Cricut machine. I distressed all the edges of the 12
x 12 paper and on the bottom I ripped the paper down a bit, rolled the 2 sides
of the tear back, added a small piece of pink paper behind the tear and added
one of my handmade rosebuds to the tear. TFL!'
