Girlie cards by Meredith Hilly

Hello. I have made some girlie cards for you to look at.
Making ladies cards are lots of fun as you can never have to much lace and flowers.
I chose cool blues and lavender to go with megs papers.

Paper dollies frame pictures really well and if you cant find the right colour ribbon you can always layer them to create the right colour you want.

I like to add gold or silver to projects because it goes with any colour.

I just love these butterflies they seem to just jump of the page. The detail makes them look like they are hovering above the page.

Girlie cards have to have pink. So pink roses where perfect. Megs garden has elegant

Don't ever be afraid of drawing on projects. I wanted some little love hearts on this card so I just drew them.

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year

Hello everyone & welcome,

Today I have a Christmas card that I would love to share with you.

To create this card I started with a 21x21cm piece of white cardstock. Fold & score in half to create a card base.  I then trimmed some of the gold leaf background paper, then added this to the card base. Lace and gold trim were added next. My cut out image was matted to brown card stock before adhering in place. I have fixed the Merry Christmas to brown cardstock, then cut around this to create a shadow effect before adhering in place with 3D foam tape.
I created a large and a small organza bow. I then fixed these to the image. A white flower, a green leaf, gold stamens and gold pearls were added to finish this card.
Background paper: Ivory with gold leaves

An Elegant Christmas Journal cards #2
Words & Phrases sheet (sorry no picture)

I would like to wish everyone A Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year.

Until next time.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day & happy creating.

Slide Card

Hello again,

For my next creation, I did something a little different.

I had a pack of slide cards that I had put aside in the 'too hard' basket. Then I thought Meg's new Spring Flowers Collection would be the ideal way to show off both the card and stunning papers.

Hidden inside the pocket is a beautiful portrait of a woman, cut from the ephemera sheets, coordinating with the new collection.

Using ribbon, laces, flowers and pearl trim - the card has turned out far better than I thought - thanks to Meg's Spring Flowers Collection.

Regards,
Mary

Whimsical Wisteria

Hi All,

I normally do not work with blues, as you can tell by my previous cards in shades of pinks and creams!
But Meg's new Spring Flowers Collection papers are absolutely beautiful - inspiring me to work outside my comfort zone.

As the quote says - Colour is Food for the Soul!

Mary
