Bow by Merdith Hilly

Hello everyone.
My latest page is one using Megs garden Sherlocks 111 cut and create. I wanted to create a page
which had a vintage farm feel. My handsome tom turkey is getting very impressive. Not something you see scrapped much. LOL

I love the leaf dies from Megs garden. They gave my page a country feel. Different clour green
cardstock makes more depth to the leaves. Half the page I used corragated paper which I was trying to represent corrigated tin.

Thanks for having a look at my page.

Fill their fields with laughter and scatter the sun on their day ~ Sherlock 111 A New Case

Hello Crafters,
Mary here with another layout using the Sherlock Holmes 111 A New Case Range, I have really enjoyed creating with this range.

Fill their Fields with laughter and scatter the Sun on their Day

This is a photo of my cousins both now in their eighties and nineties respectively . The young girl is also my Godmother.

I love this Die from Megs Store and I think it is perfect to continue the foliage in the photo . Behind my photo I have used the 4 x 12 strips of pp that come with the 12" PP and cut it in strips to mat the photo. I've added Dodo Vine and mesh ribbon beneath the die cuts and added jute twine and a little antique chess key .
For my sentiment "smile" from the cut and create sheet I highlighted the word with distress ink and stapled it along with Gold Skeleton Mesh webbing  to a ticket stub , also fussy cut from the cut and create sheet.
I hope I have inspired you to visit Megs Store and grab supplies to document your memories.
Thank You for calling by and Happy Creating

Sherlock III: a New Case - a seed from which tomorrow's happiness grows

I wanted to share with you a special layout of gorgeous niece, Esther.
I will be meeting this little one for the first time in August, even though we've talked over the internet it'll be much better to talk to her in real life.
When I saw this floral PP from the Sherlock III: a New Case collection, I knew I wanted to use it on something special.
Have a look and tell me what you think...

I backed my photo with a frame of green cardstock and then used a script above to tie in the PP with the photo.  I used cream mesh ribbon from Meg's Garden bundle of goodies across the background.

Using the Branch with Flowers die in a sage green cardstock I have framed the photo over the cream mesh ribbon.

I have used the sage green rhinestones from the emerald sheet in the centre of some of the flowers from the die and in the corners for a touch of sparkle.

Hope you've enjoyed sharing in my creation with Meg's beautiful products, be sure to pop along to the website to look at her stunning collections.
Take Care

Life is Better with Friends ~ Shades of Green

Hello dear Friends ,Mary here to share another layout using the Shades of Green Range.
I used two of the A4 pages in the range and adhered to a piece of white card stock to create my 12 x 12 page.

LIFE IS BETTER WITH FRIENDS

I received the gorgeous Branch with Flowers Die and used it straight away , I know I am going to use this die a lot !
I've also used the Lattice and Circle die behind my photo, placed some pastel enamel dots to my page and fussy cut the flowers and vintage lady from the cut and create sheet .

I also would like to share a card I made using the Shabby Chic Backgrounds card pack papers . I made this as a Sympathy Card so decided I wanted to create a bouquet of flowers to send.
I fussy cut various flower images from the cut and create sheet , bundled them together and raised them on foam dots for dimension and tied them with a satin edged organza ribbon. I placed the bouquet on top of a doily.

Thank you for calling by, I hope I have inspired you to pop over to Megs Store and be delighted with all the gorgeous Papers and embellishments.
Happy Creating

NEW - Vintage Journal Cards

Hello Bloggers

Introducing a new product line - Vintage Journal Cards
There are 4 papers A4 - 3 of the papers have the cards - each one with 6
Also an A4 of vintage lined papers that can be used to back the cards for journaling

They are available in digital download or printed - the printed can be purchased as a pack or individually with a printed lined sheet

Vintage Flowers Journal Cards 29103

Vintage Grunge or Gentlemen Journal Cards 29102

Vintage Ladies Journal Cards 209101

Lined paper for cutting the backing for the Journal Cards

Vintage Journal Cards

A cross between post cards with a size of 4x6” & the Cut & Create ephemera that come in several sized images.

The Vintage Journal cards are sized at 3x4”

This figure shows a Journal card in the middle of a 6x6” cardstock card – gives plenty of room to add.  The Journal Card is the perfect focus on the card – it gives you the opportunity to decorate them with die cuts, flowers & ribbons, some lace or cogs, jute twine, mesh ribbons & tags or tickets etc.

The Journal Card does not have to be in the centre;
off to one side, down & into the left or the right,  wherever you want it

The diagram also shows plenty of room to have patterned paper layers behind the card; you could also use a cardstock or diecut frame to add another texture & dimension.

The Journal Cards also come with a lined paper so that you can cut & add a backing to the card - with or without cardstock between.

More:
write a poem or add a joke
add a message
a reminder of …
explain the enclosed photo or object
invitation to…
words or phrase from a favourite song
make the card into a small book
cut or diecut a frame in front of card to show journal card on inside of card
add a small letter folded in Elizabethan/Regency style

Use:
The cards have been designed to be relatively simple – add the colours you want by matting in the same colour range or in contrasting colours depending on the style you want to create.

Hints for Layers:  alternate between dark and light shades so the colours won’t blend too much.  By doing this, it creates contrast and you can see all the beautiful papers and layers.

glue three or four layers of the frame together to create a thick piece. This adds dimension to your projects without using expensive foam tape. Also, it gives the frame a better finish.

Sherlock III: a New Case - Spread the word...

Sherlock III: a New Case -
Spread the Word
Hello everyone, popping in to the blog today to show you some cards I created with this beautiful collection!
All the cards are using the A4 pages, cutting out the most beautiful elements on the pages to make the centrepiece of each card.
This card uses the ink pot as the inspiration, I have added the pen nib and the sentiment "Spread the word" to create a writers theme.  The organza ribbon tied in beautifully with the vintage photo ink around the background paper.
This card has such a beautiful background paper that I left it so simple with a mink/taupe organza ribbon and the muted rhinestones from the diamond sheet, available at the website.
This card has such a detailed background paper that all I needed to do was ink the edges with vintage photo ink and add a sentiment.  I used "Time is a storyteller" because the paper looks like a collection of someone's belongings.  I added jute twine to the tag I created.
This card uses the top of one of the A4 collection papers and the postcard is a green text so I used a green backing card, embellishing the card with the green velour flower trim and an organza ribbon bow.  I have added sage green rhinestones from the emerald sheet.
All of these items can be purchased at Meg's Garden store.
Hope you have enjoyed seeing my card creations today and pop back again to see more wonderful creations of the design team here at Meg's Garden blog.
Take care

THE FRUIT PICKER ~ SHERLOCK 111 A NEW CASE

Hello !
Mary here to share another layout using the Sherlock 111 A New Case Range. I have really enjoyed creating with this range. I create this layout for a challenge where the Criteria was "Country" and this is what I created

The Fruit Picker

I enjoyed playing with texture paste and mists , stamps , die cuts , Mesh ribbon and jute with this layout . I've also added a hot air balloon charm and bee charm to the layout

I have also layered the strip filigree over the round filigree and added some Jute Twine and gold colour paste . The PP layered under my photo of one of my Mothers brothers is from the 4 x 12" strip that comes with the 12 x 12 papers. Under the papers I have used staples to adher the mesh and jute ribbons.
The die cut I have used is Megs Store .
Thank You for calling by .

SHERLOCK III - A NEW CASE - SPECIALITY CD CASE

Hello Bloggers,

Liz here with you today, showcasing Meg's Sherlock III - A New Case Collection.

I have created a CD Case to give as a gift.   I have left some spots to insert photos and or journalling.
These CD cases are a lot of fun to create and quite easy to make as well, which is a bonus. :)

 This is the back view.

On thing to remember is not use to thick embellishments, so it lends itself to doing some fussy cutting from this Collection and there is an array to choose from.

A bit of stamping on the kraft card to tie it altogether.

Have I mentioned that I do love to fussy cut these days, as I find it very relaxing and gives me time to think where I will place them too.

Well that is all for today and I hope you have enjoyed our little journey and if you would like to see more of this amazing Collection, you can find more HERE.
