Vintage negative dies journal "Secret Garden" in box for Meg's Garden

“Is the spring coming?" he said. "What is it like?"...
"It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine...”
― Frances Hodgson BurnettThe Secret Garden

I like this quote. When I received Meg's new paper collection "Rose Quartz" this book came up to my mind. I really don't know why, maybe because of all amazing flower images or maybe because that super amazing gem I received with all kit which I really love

..so I was quiet sure I am going to make journal or diary with my secret garden :D
Maybe you noticed that I am more in grunge style, not too much in shabby or pink so I was really surprised how easy was for me to work with this collection. That mix of soft pink and kind of purple, nearly brown purple (I know sounds crazy, but this color is very likable for eyes, can't describe it better) made me think about romantic garden, about magic, about girl who is keeping her diary hide somewhere from other people. So I made a box for her and her diary and I made a diary.

As my embellishments for a box I used images from Cut & Create sheet. This images look so great in metal frame. When we talk about metal,I used few charms from Meg's shop in my diary as well. Meg has amazing metal stuff in her shop.
I am guessing it will be for long time to explain everything I made with a box and diary/ journal so I will let pictures talk behalf of my work ;-)

I also made a short video, so if you are interested...

So this is all my sharing for today.I really hope that you enjoy it,maybe you found some inspiration and hopefuly you will decide to make some your creation out of this amazing collection. For more inspiration go to check out other projects Meg's girls made.I am telling you those are fabulouse.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful time.
Hugs Eva xx

Beautiful - Adore - Dream with Chantilly Cream

Hi Astrid here with a layout designed with the gorgeous Chantilly Cream collection.

I used the Chantilly Cream 12 x 12 inch papers no. 5 & no. 2, the vintage photo and butterfly's
are also from the Chantilly Cream Collection design paper "Cut & Create"......
On the second layer you can see that I used an ice blue kind of paper, well I can tell you I found
in my package a gorgeous business-card from Meg's Garden.
It was a great combination with the creamy colors of Chantilly Cream so I had to use it, and
if I may say so it turned out very nice!!

I could not help myself but I had to use the gorgeous Ice blue flowers from Prima Marketing they
are a perfect match with the Meg's Garden business-card.
Beside the beautiful flowers I also used beads from Blue Moon and Pen Nibs for
Tim Holtz - Idea Ology.

I hope I have given you a little more inspiration to try Meg's Garden papers and
embellisments, they are so very nice to work with.

Thanks for visiting the blog today, don't forget to pop on over to the Meg's Garden website to
have a look at all the other fabulous products available.

Take Care......Astrid.

ROSE QUARTZ LAYOUT

Hi Mary back to share another layout using the pretty Rose Quartz Range.

I wanted to demonstrate that if you feel like creating with texture , paints and mists (I know I get the urge to get messy and play with these mediums quite a lot) , the range also lends itself to this style.
I have created a layout of my Son's wedding, so I have still kept it pretty , and not overpowered the paper, while still had fun using different mediums.

I have used the Rose Quarts PP 02 which has a pink candy stripe pattern.
To this I have added the hearts and also roses mask with texture paste and added some Pink water colour paint. I have placed pieces of the Large Basket Lace Square doily at the top and bottom of my photo and added a little pink water colour to its edges.
I cut a image from the Rose Quartz Cut and create sheet & placed at the side of my photo. which added a bit of colour  and then made some Hand made flowers from the 4 x12 " strip of paper that your receive with the 12 x 12 " paper of the same pattern.

Tutorial for the making of the flowers can be found here
I have used the round silver trim as the centre of two of my flowers and added some here and there on my page.
In my cluster I have some tulle  from the bridesmaids dresses, mini rosebuds that I have added some dusty pink ink to , thread , organza ribbon and pearl trim ( apart from the Tulle and thread, all are available at Megs shop .)
The always and forever Tab is also from the Cut and Create Rose Quartz sheet, and I have inked it with dusty pink.
The girls on the DT have been creating some really beautiful projects with this range , I am sure you are enjoying looking at them and I hope you are inspired to create your own projects.
Until next time
Happy Creating
Mary

BLUE MOOD

BLUE MOOD
Hello everyone, Miriam here with two beautiful cards using paper from Meg's Garden, Watercolours in Blue. The colour of this paper is beautiful so delicate The cards are simple as I didn't want to cover them up with too many embellishments.

I used a Kaiser Craft die, Berry Vine for the spray,  a Martha Stewart punch for the butterfly's and a Stampin  Up Hello die.

Just added a little gesso. to the roses.

                                                    Embossed the top layer.

Made this small envelope with the envelope maker.

Do hope you like these cards, can't wait to use more of these beautiful papers.

Meg's Garden products used, Watercolours in Blue paper, ribbon and pearls.
Other products used Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, Kaiser Craft Berry Vine die, Stampin
Up Hello Die and flowers from my stash.

'ADORE' with Rose Quartz card

Hello and welcome again to the Megs Garden Blog. I am so inspired when creating with this beautiful new Rose Quartz Collection. The combinations are endless. Today I have used the Papercraft pack and have chosen the softer hues to blend with the image of the Lady holding a rose. The subtle additions of a frame, blending in some lace and a single flower compliments the image. I hope you enjoy! Katrina x

I have used 4 of the sheets from the paper pack. The rose for the background mat and the Lady holding a rose to become the framed centrepiece. The word 'Adore' is cut from one of the image sheets as is the elongated oval upon which it will be mounted.

A paper rose is mounted on one of the lace layers from one of the organza lace flowers with diamante.

The frame has been lightly brushed with a layer of off white paint. I kept the brushstrokes deliberate and in one direction to coordinate with the image. The antique pink lace has been cut up through the centre to layer around the frame behind the image.

To assemble - Layer your cardstock, white mat and background image for the card base. Overlap your laces in two rows. The large scallop has been dyed gently with Victorian Velvet distress. The frame has been painted, attached to the image with the lace border behind. The rose has been offset to the side but not glued permanently until the two pieces are together so you can check on the placement. 'Adore' has been mounted ready for placement also.

Once assembled, double check the placement of your flower and word and attach permanently.

Check all your angles to get your desired effect.

Thankyou so much for looking. Happy creating! K x
