'ADORE' with Rose Quartz card

Hello and welcome again to the Megs Garden Blog. I am so inspired when creating with this beautiful new Rose Quartz Collection. The combinations are endless. Today I have used the Papercraft pack and have chosen the softer hues to blend with the image of the Lady holding a rose. The subtle additions of a frame, blending in some lace and a single flower compliments the image. I hope you enjoy! Katrina x

I have used 4 of the sheets from the paper pack. The rose for the background mat and the Lady holding a rose to become the framed centrepiece. The word 'Adore' is cut from one of the image sheets as is the elongated oval upon which it will be mounted.

A paper rose is mounted on one of the lace layers from one of the organza lace flowers with diamante.

The frame has been lightly brushed with a layer of off white paint. I kept the brushstrokes deliberate and in one direction to coordinate with the image. The antique pink lace has been cut up through the centre to layer around the frame behind the image.

To assemble - Layer your cardstock, white mat and background image for the card base. Overlap your laces in two rows. The large scallop has been dyed gently with Victorian Velvet distress. The frame has been painted, attached to the image with the lace border behind. The rose has been offset to the side but not glued permanently until the two pieces are together so you can check on the placement. 'Adore' has been mounted ready for placement also.

Once assembled, double check the placement of your flower and word and attach permanently.

Check all your angles to get your desired effect.

Thankyou so much for looking. Happy creating! K x
