Birthday Book by Meredith Hilly

Hello everyone. This post is all about birthdays. And what better way to celebrate birthdays by making a birthday book. I made this book so it can open and sit on a surface showing the current month.

I decorated the flowers with pearl magic and used a dark chocolate cardstock for the leaves. Don't be frighten to use other colours then green for foliage.

The book sits open to support itself so you can read what birthday is on that month.

Pages can be given depth with texture. I just love the tiny jar of crystals in shades of gold and browns that Megs garden has. Run some glue along the page and sprinkle on the tube like crystals. I have used it along the neck line of the girl in the photo.

Each page has a tag with the month stamped on it. They are pulled out from behind the monthly calendar for you to write a birthday date on it. The idea of this is on the following year when the dates are different these tags can be slid into a newly made birthday book.

Thank you for looking at my project. I have really enjoyed using Megs Garden papers. They are so pretty and the quality of the paper is second to none.
