Upcycled gift bag with Rose Quartz

Hello again, Kelly-ann Oosterbeek here today with an upcycled gift bag ...

this project is a very quick and easy one, and is super handy for getting together
a really special gift bag for a really special occasion ... and best of all,
for the base you can just use any old gift bag you may have been hanging onto :)

So this is what it looks like after I've attacked it with the Rose Quartz Collection...

And this is how we got there ...

This was the gift bag I started with ... it was made of nice thick cardboard
so perfect to support all the embellishments I wanted to stick onto it :)

Next I cut out a cardstock base to both sides...

Then I added lace and washi tape to the edges...

Then I started adding the Rose Quatrz papers and some flowers ...

Then I just kept going with the embellishments from the Rose Quartz Collection...

I finished with some bling and butterflies and
stuck the two sides to the sides of the gift bag using some really study glue.

And that's it! :)

Thanks for popping by the blog today.

Cheers from Kelly Ann xo

4 SPECIALTY CARDS WITH ROSE QUARTZ COLLECTION - by LIZ HOCKING

Hello Bloggers,

Liz here with you today showcasing the wonderful new Rose Quartz Collection from Meg's Garden.
I have used  Rose Quartz Papercrafter pack which is a perfect accompaniment for your cards.
Firstly here is a 'look see' at the 3 cards and following you can see them in more detail.

This collection is well suited to 'specialty' cards and the first one I would like to share with you is my 'arch' card.

A little bit of fussy cutting to set off the printed  paper.

Then teamed with a little metal butterfly from Meg's Garden

Next is a little 'peek-a-boo' card

It certainly is amazing how you can use this wonderful Papercraft pack.  Next is a little triangle card which worked perfectly with some of Meg's Garden lace and flowers.

Finally for you, I have created a 'acetate window' card.  Unfortunately it is a little hard to see that it is a window, but I know you will get the idea.    Petals, leaves and lace  fitted so well in the window.

I hope you have enjoyed today's journey through the Rose Quartz Collection and for more of the collection please visit http://megsgarden.com/
Thanks for taking the time to look and see you next time.....Happy Scrapping......Liz

Mothers Day Inspired Gift Set

Hello all and welcome to my post for Meg's Garden.  Today's project has been inspired by Mother's Day, which is just around the corner.  I have created a unique and softly feminine gift giving collection.  The beautiful colours and soft tones in the Rose Quartz Papers lends itself perfectly for that special gift for Mum.

My first two creations are a card and matching paperbag envelope that I have altered to

To create the paperbag envelope, I have folded the base of the paper bag up and glued down both sides to create a pocket for one of the Cut and Create  tags

and I have slipped my card into the bag opening.

My card is quite simple, just a piece of folded baby pink cardstock.  I have used a border punch down one side and also accented with a white cardstock border.  I have used more of the Cut and Create sheet, large Gardenia, dusty pink ribbon, twine, baby paper roses and a fancy frame. I have inked all my edges with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet Distress ink.

I have also added the punch borders to the inside of the card.

My next creation from this gift set is an altered white glass jar.  I am sorry readers, but I have no before pics, but I do have a bit of a tutorial on how I added the Cut and Create label.

I fussy cut one of the labels from the Cut and create sheet.  However I found that the paper was a little thick and wanted to crinkle around the edges.  So I decided to gently rub back some of the layers.  I gently spritzed the back of the label

and then ever so lightly, I rubbed the back of the label till it started to "ball up".

I repeated this a couple of times, being very careful not to rip or remove too much.
Once I had removed enough layers  that the label now sat flush, with hardly any wrinkling or crinkling, I glued it into place with some mod podge.

and then sealed it with some Jo Sonja's decoupage varnish.

And last, but not least is my gift bag.  I have a few of these little craft paper bags in my stash and this was the perfect size for my altered jar.

I have used ....... Rose Quartz to decorate the front and the back. To embellish I have used the large metal filligree rose and layered a cream gardenia to it.  I have also used the cream trim and lace from our kit.  I fussy cut   the "Love You" tag from the Cut and Create to tuck in behind the flower as an added sentiment.

Items I have used to create my projects are:-

Thank you for joining me today.
....till next time
remember to live your bliss......

GIFT BOX and CARD by MIRIAM

GIFT BOX and CARD by MIRIAM

Hello everyone. Miriam here with my project using the beautiful paper "Rose Quartz " from Meg's Garden.
On the top of the box I have used a Sizzix Thinlits Die By Tom Holtz 661185.
The small metal embellishments and the little rose buds are from Meg's Garden, the other embellishments are from my stash.

For the card I have left it very plain as I just loved this paper and the colour and didn't want to cover it up.I have used glossy accents on the leaves and the little butterfly and a few mauve glass beads for the middle of the rose. The pretty embellishment is from Meg's Garden and the ribbon is from my stash.

Just added a little bazzill for interest on the inside.
Hope you love the papers as much as I do, until next time.

                                                                Miriam..
